It’s hard to explain how freaking good this chapter was. It also explained SO many of Lorenzo’s past ambiguous behaviours like the little suppressed grins he does sometimes (ex. when they met for lunch the first time and Rian offered him his leash, or when Rian indirectly called him his partner in bed in the previous chapter). I couldn’t decide if Lorenzo was silently laughing AT Rian or genuinely flustered, but this chapter confirms that he’s been genuinely flustered this whole time! And other stuff like cornering Rian in the bathroom and asking about how he liked the sex (he sounded so cringe and threatening but it looks like he genuinely wanted to know how his performance was!) And even smaller details like insisting on having lunch together twice a week (that is absurdly frequent btw) and remembering his food preferences. Then there’s a cherry on top where he outright admitted how jealous he is of Rian for having had multiple other partners in the past.
Lorenzo is DOWN BAD for Rian. He is so, so down bad, to the point that he probably doesn’t realize it himself.
Maybe my only gripe is that Lorenzo became warm and fuzzy a bit too fast. This is the same guy who bit off his secretary’s tongue, has murdered multiple people in cold blood, and brutally raped Rian twice. This could partly be an act too, so I don’t want to let my guard down too much yet.
Oh I love all the detailed explaination and I totally get what you mean but I think Enzo has always went easy of Rian compared to what he said or was capable of doing and looks like this time he finally wants to tag along the vibe Uno is offering him so let's see how it goes
omg you just worded EXACTLY my thoughts, like, I can't pinpoint if Lorenzo's acting right now or not rn, but it truly doesn't feel like it, and perhaps that's what the author wanted us to find out at the end of the day — that maybe the bonafide killer mobster was just a loser in the love department, after all. He just looks so down bad for Rian, it pains me in the best way. But taking his past into consideraction, maybe he IS pretending, which would make him such a great actor, butttt I STILL have this feeling that he isn't, and that his flustered reactions are real, and I want to hold onto this feeling so bad bcs it would be so damn cute
I FUCKING CALLED IT, RIAN‘S GOING TO TEACH HIM EVERYTHING. The theory of Lorenzo being very inexperienced is looking more and more true.
