getting flamed in 3…2…1-

seabi August 12, 2026 4:02 pm

is it too much to ask to read one BL with good smut ? their first time was unsatisfying as hell.
i hate when authors write a smut scene like that. they have a good and healthy chemistry so why wouldn’t the author give us a sweet sex scene for their first time ? what’s the point in making the bottom say "noo please don’t" and making him pass out ? why is rape so romanticized ???

i can only sigh and be upset about this chapter. i shouldn’t have expected anything from a yaoi. i had hope for this manhwa.

    I've been marinating this

im not dumb i know this isn’t rape but the author is making it seem like the bottom doesn’t want it when he does and that infuriates me. it passes as a rape fetish i don’t care, there is absolutely no point in writing a scene like that when the bottom PASSES out. it makes me roll my eyes so hard.

then what, in the next chapter the bottom will be a little bit angry because the top didn’t stop and then they will move on as if it’s normal ? please stop normalizing such smut scenes i’m going to drop dead one day

it’s not like, a rape scene, don’t get me wrong. but the author made it looks like the bottom didn’t want it, and he kept saying no yet he didn’t defend himself when he physically could. the last panel is him passing out mid sex, bruh.

noncon is so normalized that authors write the same gross cliché smut scenes

I completely agree with what you're saying cause this was my exact same thoughts about this chapter!! Why do these authors write scenes like this? Can they not write good consensual sex? Why does it have to be one person not enjoying it at all?

i know right???? it’s not like the bottom doesn’t enjoy it, so what’s the point of making it seem like he hates it. and making him PASS OUT??? their other smut scenes were really sweet….. we got fooled

Is there (in fiction) a difference between “non-con” and rape? Because in real life, anything happening without consent is rape. All these terms used for fictional content sometimes confuse me, because in real life, both non-con and dub con would be considered rape bro

no there’s no difference it means the same thing. dubcon is the most stupidest term i’ve ever heard in my life and i hate to use it, same for noncon because it’s rape.. so.. we should say rape.

i think it’s one of the first time i’ve ever used the term noncon, i didnt want to say rape but i don’t have a vast vocabulary, my english sucks, so i didnt know how to phrase it properly

I do totally get what ur saying, but i think it's worth noting that the entire premise of their romance includes kidnapping. Even if they had the most consensual sweet non toxic sex scene ever, it wouldnt really change the fact that there is already an element of crossing boundaries/respect for autonomy and unlawful behaviour to their relationship.

i do get why you were hoping for a subversion here. I'm not defending it, just want to be clear that
"The violent criminal who forcibly kidnapped me so we could live out his insane fantasy, is actually really considerate when we have sex!" Is not really a sentiment that would fly irl

That being said i did find the sex scene just grating in general. Guy who is really smug pushy and insistent about topping kind of takes me out of it. Like bro get over urself

it would have changed something, at least for me… they had sweet smut scenes before having sex, they do have a healthy relationship even if it’s based on lies. writing this specific odd smut scene was unnecessary and stupid.

the plot is pretty funny to me, because the bottom could’ve killed the top whenever he wanted, he could’ve told him he didn’t want a sexual relationship… so it’s a weird kidnapping lowkey

yeah fully agree with this. its always feels jarring and straight up bizarre when bl manhwas with otherwise great plots and character dynamics end up doing this. other examples i think fit this are: between the lines season 3 and circuit breaker season 2. where everything was going well but tge author just had to insert a non con smut sequence out of the blue which adds nothing to the plot or the characters' relationship. im so fed up. writing a sweet tender sentimental intimate scene Cannot be that difficult.

RIGHT like why are we getting ragebaited

    Llillm August 12, 2026 7:06 pm

Totally agree. And the biggest issue is you can’t even call it rape by manhwa standards, because instead of saying 'so good', they literally just use 'no, stop'. So no matter how many times they sleep together, the bottom is still gonna keep screaming 'no'—all because they think it's romantic! (Don't get me wrong, the manhwa is great and the ML is a total green flag, there's no actual rape, but it's just annoying how authors keep making the bottom say 'no, stop' all the time).

    Hoon August 12, 2026 8:07 pm

Whenever an author makes their ml/mc do something completely out of character I pretend it didn't happen. Or I look at it like these poor characters have to say a script they didn't want to. it just sucks when an author can't stay consistent with their character. They end up inserting their fetishes and fantasies into the story which is unprofessional as freak because even though they made the manhwa its like...YOUR CHARACTER WOULDN'T DO THATT.

I hope this doesn't sound like I'm parasocial with fictional character LOL but I'm so sick of MC's like Daniel from Lookism or Dohwa from love operation do things they should be against?? Makes no sense. Yaoi authors especially need to change up how they write intimate scenes..this is why I'm iffy with smuts because as soon as they hit the bed authors don't know how to act (pls no one take my words out of context, what I'm saying only applies to green flag characters that have bad moments because of an authors writing not because that's their personality)
