Read the novel if you can but only if you are ready to no more feel the hip for the manhwa. The manhwa is oversimplified and have been sexualised. When you only read the manhwa everything is just fine but the moment you start reading the novel your mind will be blown away. Some time I often asks myself if I'm still reading the same story. The magic theories, the strength gaining and the magic application and feasibility are just skipped through in the manhwa as just power happening but in the novel everything is explained in a way that help readers to understand what is actually possible and what isn't in this magic word. The lore too is not as subtly apparent in the manhwa as in the novel. For exemple, the chap 32 which was just uploaded is the moment where we, readers, where confronted with the real nature of the "gods" of freïa. Now down to the sexualisation point, and it's the more frustrating one cause I deem it useless in this story particularly. It's not like it doesn't exist in the OG story but there you knew why it was here for. In the novel the librarian was a he, an old he. Why change that ? Why give it a younger look ? An seeing it, I'm actually starting to panic if they're going to do that to other personnage as well ! But please note that none of that could have become a problem if I haven't read the novel in the first place so manhwa only readers won't see and the story is not less good because of that. It was just something that was weighing at my heart and I needed to let it out, so pardon my long rambling. Still, I fairly encourages anyone who hadn't read the novel yet to cause it'll give you a better understanding of the story itself !
