I LOVE me some stories with the most horrific creatures I have ever seen. Angst? The more the better. I find more interest in stories that will put me on an emotional rollercoaster than fluff, or stories with amazingly unique concepts.
I will not however, read straight up torture porn where the mc constantly suffers— that’s boring af. No, I want them to be happy so when something terrible happens, it hurts even more. I draw the line at rape (unless it’s genuinely important to the plot and isn’t romanticized), but everything else is fair game.
