(Mannnn why site posted that comment, I wasn't finished dammit)
Cheol was formerly straight and raised as a straight. We can even barely call him gay because the guy who he has ever crushed l, loved, and lusted after is Minyoung.
And Minyoung is a dominant dgaf. But he loves Cheol with all his life, and he'll do anything for him. So any wish of Cheol, he will grant then. If Cheol wants to top him, so be it, he dgaf. That's why the author said he never seen himself as a bottom. It's just a sex position. He doesn't want to dominate Cheol. He wants Cheol to be happy with him. He's way more open-minded and flexible than Cheol, so that's why he's very okay with this. Because again, he just dgaf, as long as Cheol is with him and is happy to be with him.
Fixated is a strong word yknow err i think the people who asked for it dont really gaf that much its simply bc we know that minyoung have tried to top him and ppl r wondering what is it gonna look like if minyoung actually topped him. And cheol is stronger and bigger than minyoung if you look past his weak mentality so whatever ur saying dont make any sense. Cheol was formerly straight? his first love is minyoung and dont that makes him gay from the very start? Hes just raised to be conservative and he holds some conservative values
There's no such thing as "formerly (sexual orientation)" if anything cheol is most likely a queer person but considering his environment and culture the probability of him having internalized homophobia is high. And not trying to sound rude or anything but let's stop using psychological terms in casual or informal conversations as it usually water down it's clinical definition
Completely not relatec to what i commented btw!! Just admit that ur wrong for saying that cheol is formerly straight and be done with that but noo you gotta attack me and say dumb shit lol i have over 800 comics in my manga collection list r you sure i only read comics with buff bottoms? Last time i check i wrote i like dark haired sexy bottom tho?? Not a word about buff please search the meaning of fetish please you look uninformed :(
Lol firstly, I wasn't wrong so I will admit nothing. Secondly, lmao attack. I'm merely stating facts girlie, and you're scrambling so hard to deflect it. Putting word in my mouth like "you only read comics with buff bottom". Not once did I say or even imply that. I said:
"buff bottoms is simply ONE of your fetish."
Lmao pls, you're caught red-handed. At least be gracious about it
Im not deflecting?:0 im just shocked ur so quick to jump saying someone goons to that... bc ive never thought of it tho unless u have tried to do it first then maybe thats why ur train of thought leads you to that conclusion. Then maybe ur the blind person bc i dont read comic with only buff bottom :( read better
Yes not all the time it's applicable to all people, some people can be in the end of spectrum (e.g. totally queer/straight). but the wording "former (orientation)" can be interpreted in a way that sexual orientation can be changed, and we all know that it can not be, and that interpretation is really harmful towards queer people.
and the psych term in referring to is "fixation"
Former was the appropriate word here because he "was" straight. It doesn't matter what his actual sexual orientation is, but he "was" or "formerly" straight because he was raised that way by his restrictive homophobic parents. Thus he was unable to display or act upon on any gay thoughts or desire. That's why he was so in denial when he got attracted to Minyoung. Because he thought he "was" straight and had to act straight. That's literally all there is to it. It's not that deep.
“Fixated/Fixation” is a perfectly common English word meaning excessively focused or preoccupied with something. I wasn’t even using it in a psychological context, it’s being used in its ordinary, everyday sense. I simply used it because it’s concise and already part of my everyday vocabulary. “Obsessed,” “preoccupied,” or “overly focused” would convey essentially the same idea. So I don't really know what you're on about.

Idk why people are fixated on them switching. That will just basically reinforce the concept that bottoms are always the submissive "weaker" partner in a relationship, which is what people seems to see in the crybaby Cheol. That's what makes Minyoung even more interesting, that even though he's the bottom, he's undeniably the dominant "stronger" one in their relationship. A flip to the usual formula. Plus, it really aligns to their characters you know. Cheol was formerly straight, and raised
