You can't say I'm using a word wrong when you're just proving me right lmao. "I stopped reading" ... Yes that's exactly what I mean, you stopped reading and made an assumption for the rest of the story you didn't even read.
That is by definition, an issue of media literacy.
Rewording your comment and it's be "I stopped reading immediately but I'm angry the entire story does xyz"
And your two examples are, a DREAM and him doing something in private, that all people do.
Your purity culture bullshit is showing.
Also why are you so mad over something you aren't even reading. Drop it and move on.
This is also a story set in a time thousands of years before our own. You cannot push modern day values on a historical setting. She also is only a few years older than him.
17 was an adult at the time of this setting. He was in war for god sake.
If he can kill hundreds, he can masturbate to a woman he likes lmao
Since Bunni blocked me because they can't handle debate:
Now, let's use our heads, especially you who is not a "smooth brain" that is apparently lacking media literacy like me. Why would i continue reading a story, after coming across a chapter with the sexualisation of a minor, with the adult character being affected and having a wet dream about them? The very thing i criticise, already happened. What would be the point of continuing the story and gaining more context? There's no misunderstanding over what was viewed from the very first chapters. I'm not sorry over expressing my discomfort just because it discomforts you, to the point that you chose to indirectly insult me.
Yes, seeing a minor sexualised and paired with an adult (who was btw shown to be attracted and affected with the minor's sexual courting), not even in a subtle historical way for the story telling, is making me uncomfortable. I don't care if it doesn't make you uncomfortable. It makes me. And i should be free to express that without randos like you attacking me.
The way that no one even insulted you. You admitted you barely read it. He's not 17 for 99% of the story.
You're free to leave a comment in the same way we are allowed to respond and correct you.
Someone sounds pissy, you say you don't care but you went out of your way to delete shit and edit your comment.
just drop it and move on big baby lmao. For someone who doesn't care that much... You seem to care a lot lmao.
"I'm not here to moral police but here's how I think this story is immoral and gross"
Babes, just move on lmao.
I blocked you bc I wasn't interested in having a back and forth with someone who just wants to insult and rage in a comment thread. And hey you proved me right!
You've gotta be 12 with this stomp your feet and get mad you were corrected attitude lmao.
Media literacy is "the ability to encode and decode the symbols transmitted via media and synthesize, analyze and produce mediated messages."
We can use our thinking caps to see that this is a story set in a different time, with different rules and social expectations on what an adult is and the roles they play. This is a world in which when you can go to war, you're considered an adult. He is a character that is of high status and goes to war at 17/18.
Then we DONT SEE HIM AGAIN for several years. In which he is an adult.
If you don't like that there were some scenes to create tension in the beginning... Guess what!! You DON'T have to read it!
You also don't have to insult and berate those that have corrected you.
I have never insulted you, I have only corrected the information you said yourself you didn't have and got wrong.
If it bothers you that someone corrects your misinformation, so much that you talk down to them like children and insult them?
Don't comment on things, and maybe grow TF up. This is childish behavior.
If you feel insulted now, you should lol. I may not insult first but I'm no door mat. Grow up and move on. I've blocked you so I won't get any more notifications so you can stomp your feet and cry as much as you like but I'm moving on
"The way no one insulted you" Oh please, saying i lack media literacy because my opinion makes you uncomfortable is an insult.
And oh the irony lmao
I love how you conveniently ignore my words and build a sweet little narrative that fits you. Then again, that is to be expected considering you blocked me hoping i wouldn't be able to reply, as you shared your drivel.
I mean, you want to prove a point however you can't handle anything said against it. You don't want to have to explain yourself. As you said, you want to "correct" but never be corrected.
Calling me a 12 year old, when you literally had to block me to hold yourself back from replying, then despite that, still coming back is hilarious. Peak comedy even.
And no, why should i move on and give you any form of gratification? You chose to engage, come back and make yourself uncomfortable.
And since when was explaining my perspective moral policing?
Did i call any of the readers who disagree with me immoral? Did i psychoanalyse anyone, speak of their personal life, judge them based on their fictional taste? Are we just throwing words around now?
If my view hurts you, it's on you.
I don't force you to adopt my view. Just like how i don't force you to reply to me.
So, that point aside, by your logic, despite the story being literally fantasy and being historically inaccurate in every other degree, it is conveniently historically accurate on the age. Yeah, okay lmao
So, if a 16 year old or younger was forced to go to war in the story, would your logic apply again, to all the points you made?. The author purposely created a sexual narrative, with explicit scenes and sexual innuendos that have the sole purpose to be engaging, the way a smut can be engaging. Even if the author kept the age, they could have avoided adding this scenes.
A 17 year old purposely sexualised is uncomfortable to me.
A teen "hardened" by war doesn't stop being a teen and in a fantasy story, that doesn't even bother to keep anything else historically accurate, his age was nothing but a personal choice. Not a "needed" historical accuracy.
And once again, i had all the information i needed.
The thing i personally find uncomfortable, hasalready happened.
The fact that they have sex after he becomes an adult, doesn't change what has already happened lmao
You don't need further context in this, it's literally not misunderstanding that was subtly indicated, which in that case, i would have continued the story to reach a proper conclusion.
It's like me telling you "i don't like the story because i don't like the story because i hate rotten apples" and you replying with "You lack media literacy because the rotten apple turns into soil later in the story and becomes useful". My problem, is the rotten apple, so why would it matter if it turns into soil or even freaking gold later?
Hope this cleared that up. In case it didn't, refer to point 1, 2 and 3 i made (that's the sole reason i made them, so that i don't have to repeat my self as you predictably drag yourself back here lol. I still did though, but oh well...).
Also, i never said i don't care if you force your opinion upon me and proceed to insult my literacy.I even made it clear that i will yap.
What i said is that i don't care if you don't find the story uncomfortable.
Soooo,
media literacy was it? lol
Sorry not sorry my view makes you uncomfortable.
It won't disappear, it will keep on existing, making you seethe. Whether my points sink in or not, matters not at this point.
After all, i don't expect someone who came here to "correct" to ever legitimately debate. (tbh i came to the conclusion when you block, but i wanted to see if you'd come back lmao.)
Have fun getting annoyed, small baby (i'm the big baby, naturally you'd be the small one).
If I have to scroll more than three full times to read your full response... You clearly are butthurt as hell. The one seething and annoyed here .. is YOU. Clearly.
Writing whole novels in the comments instead of just .. dropping and moving on lol.
Yes, you are the big baby, we all can see that lmao
Glad you're aware and take ownership of that.
Good luck out there Big Baby
What a weird sexual thing to say when you're complaining about smut. You're edging into sexual harassment at this point. Don't ever say that shit again. Disgusting
the fact you're just getting super gross in your responses tell me you're the one who's being obsessive. Being blocked is a pretty big "leave me tf alone" but since you started making this sexual, it's clear you don't know shit about boundaries.
I spent yesterday having dinner with friends and packing for my week long trip, didn't think about you once.
What's wrong Big Baby?
You lost all ground to stand on when you self admitted to being a Big Baby. Like damn that's still so fucking funny. Only a Big Baby thinks calling themselves that is a win.
Grow up big and strong Big Baby. I know you can do it

Why does he have to be 17? Why the heck did they add a 17 year old teen in a smut story? Bye
Edit:
1) Yes, an adult having a wet dream about a 17 year old doesn't make it better for being a dream. Why? Because contextually this is a setting created for the reader's pleasure to view. It's not made with the intention to express the "randomness" of dreams. Especially since we're clearly shown the adult mc being sexually affected by the minor in a lot of bits and pieces.
2) Yes, showing the "private moment" of the teen masturbating, is done once again for the sake of the reader. This being a "private moment" doesn't make it better.
3) The story being historical, doesn't excuse one of the characters being a minor and used for sexual scenes that are obviously explicit for a reason. The story is NOT historically accurate. It's fantasy. Nothing is accurate about it in historical context. There are no limitations for the ages of the characters. The author chose to add and sexualise a character that is underaged (and mind you, 17 is younger in the non Korean, official age system).
4)Yes, i will yap and debate if you choose to force your opinion upon me, especially if you choose to insult me over it.
5)I don't give a single fuck if this story doesn't make you uncomfortable. I expressed my opinion. And yes, it's my right to leave a comment after dropping a story, just like how someone is allowed to leave a comment after continuing it. Cry about it.
I'm not here to coddle anyone's feelings on the matter, you are free to have a different opinion. I don't care. I'm not here to moral police you either. If my comment made you uncomfortable, that's on no one but you. Keep that in mind.
If you insult me, i will insult you :D
That is all.
