Ohh, I know I once commented something like this too, and people literally started bullying me. They were saying things like, “You enjoy reading rape.” People really think gay/BL stories are just about rape and all that stuff. But yk, some of the most beautiful and meaningful stories I’ve read have been gay ones.

yaoi is way more problematic, in general, than other queer / straight romance. every genre is called out when needed, but most people will rather close an eye on problematic stuff when it comes to queer content than on straight ones. they’re the first ones to always criticize straight romance / content ( or even GLs… )
GLs and straight romance gets called out and criticized way more than BLs, especially by fujoshis as they hate the genre and FMC as well. ( fujos fetishize gay content hence why )
