From spoilers I've read, the baby is actually Cyrus's fathers and it's all an act and the reason Cyrus's father even chose Amenda (FL) in the first place for Cyrus was because she was a lower class noble that no one would care about and it would be easy to manipulate her father as they were associates and easier to control Cyrus. He is pretty much the villain in all of it. Cyrus hasn't touched that woman at all from what I've read since he knows exactly who she is and is forced to play along as his father is in control even though he is emperor himself. He also thinks Amenda is his fathers spy which is why he is cold and doesn't concern himself with her but the colour he sees around her confuses him as he can usually tell what kind of person you are with what colour your aura is (that's his power) Now this is just what I've gathered and it could all be misinformation as I haven't read it myself! But I have read the manga up to ch 40ish and they are starting to get along really well. (Cyrus and Amenda

Based on the comment that I saw on another site, the ML isn't really a piece of shit (well he still is but he's not the shittiest character here) The baby that the fucking consort has wasn't his, but his father's. Yes guys, he hasn't touched the consort and is aware of who she is. And as you can see... He's wary of our FL because he thought she's his father's spy. I'm just going to paste the comment here
