Started off strongly & made me weep in an instant , cried utmost every major angst point & some minors too. There's one thing that didn't irk me was there was hardly any shouting yelling FL & ML was comically not stoic throughout the read. He's very expressive!
First of all , I was very much in disbelief of the accusations ML kept throwing towards FL , like, brother she was a young woman raised in aristocracy how would she handle trauma of grief better than what she was taught as? But as I read more i felt that yes naivety & ignorance is not a good sign if a person wanna be shown as a victim. I felt that her suic attempt was justified, because I for one thought she kinda brought this on herself, leaving her no way out & being of no use to someone else like left without any purpose except bring misery to your surroundings. Yet ofc she doesn't deserve that she wasn't raised as a quitter & i felt disappointed in her taking that route . I almost believed it's gonna turn into regression plot. But thank God it didn't.
But boy oh boy this author made her redeem so well with not only divorcing that relationship, as well as finding her a path to redeem her house's atrocities into a name that will not become stained anymore. I cried when ppl started supporting the Rosenberg name again , idk why it felt like yes she's done it (without ML's help for once in this historic troupe) she's some one who i would have admired & made a role model of. Really
Heiner , I don't feel much better when I saw his tortured parts but the obsessive nature that was ironically his own decision, was a breathe of fresh air. I find that most authors torture ML once & keep torturing fL's throughout the story , but this one was a reverse & me being a strong FL fan has finally turned a new leaf , if anything i cried more for his parts . It's incredibly sad how obsession gave him chances to stay alive & move forward. The lines 'my life has been extended again ' after everytime she says she looks forward to seeing him again urghhh I can't... I'm crying again .
One of the best works I read in my life. Truly wonderful. Also the depiction of war & it's desolation it brings on the civilians life is just too good. It does remind me of that one kdrama. It's good too. I hope our manhwa/novel couple will remain together forever unlike them :( Beautiful designs btw, loved the character designs of every one special.
