I mean, dropping it because of that is a bit iffy. The comic revolves around the children the hero left behind and how their coping with their life without their father around. The mc is, in the beginning, kind of like the hero but is changing slowly but surely interacting with his brothers and sisters. Like, the characters are fighting each other, but it's about getting to know their past and how they each dealt with their own suffering from having a father like that. Reducing the comic to that feels like you're narrow-minded. Just say you don't fuck with the characters or you find the comic boring. What you're describing is the start of the comic, but we're following the lives of many characters, not the heroes'. He's been dead.
Firstly stop projecting your head cannon on to me about why I dropped this peice of media. Second, I just get exhausted of seeing media, not give people and men in general enough flack for being mediocre or straight up negligent parents. Like kids are living beings and to have a kid and not show up for them long term and sustainablely is just bad parenting. If i started to assume things about you, like you did to me. I would say " so you think its okay for people to have kids and not be responsible in rasing them, so a thousand kids is okay as long as you have the money for it?" But i didn't, instead I say I have certain standards for what is considered good parents and realistically its really difficult to raise 12 kids and show up for them emotionally and socially. Like be so fucking for real right now and tell the the issues some of the characters are facing isn't because of developmental issues and negligent parenting. Like if the shadow of a bad father wasn't so prominent then why are so many of them exhibiting traits of emotionally stunted adults.
Was I excusing the hero for what he did? No, I'm just saying that the comic is more than the hero having many children. The point is to get hyped up with how the characters will fight and get to know more about them, learn more about the world and get attached to the characters you like. Emphasizing on only what the hero did is just weird to me because that's only the hook. Headcanon or not, we don't know what the next chapters will show, that's the point, to be eager what the mc and the side characters will do next or what they'll say next. They have problems, okay, let's see how they confront them. Will they keep sticking to their own motivation for the money or will they give it up for their sibiling? That's the point of these action comics, to make headcanons of what could happen next, then revise and make some new ones when more chapters come along.

When your describing the point in reading this story like learning character motivations, hyped up about the future fights, and understanding the story setting and world building. Those points aren't unique to this story. That's how most people approach many stories. Why are you trying to teach someone to drink coffee, while they like tea in the justification of decorum and manners. If I wasn't caught on the hook and felt slighted for my time how is that a you issue. The " Emphasis" on the hero is because thats literally part of the world building and setting.
