Oh ya, it is also not as easy for me to sympathise with him bcz he’s a guy. HEAR ME OUT. I see people talking abt how his brain could b built differently and what not that’s why they pity him blabla, well heres the thing. While people, men and women alike, would dissect HIS character down in many paragraphs, I believe tht if he were instead a woman then more people would just simply dismiss his character as being a harlot which PMO. I feel like they could even be aware tht the same principle (she could b autistic or mental blabla hence her action) applies to the hypothetical female character yet they just chose to ignore it JUST bcz shes a woman. I say this with full conviction BCZ this is just the state of the current world, just look at Bonnie Blue lol. Ugh i COULD and would elaborate more but im just gonna stop here
“What a poor pitiful man” is crazy work ☠ the only time i feel pity towards a character is probably when the wife died. “The guy isnt an asshole” DONT PMO rn be so freaking for real, i just cant stand the thought of people infantilising a grown man when a lot of it are just weaponised incompetence on his part. I just cant deal with seeing dogshit men dragging women down in fiction bcz i’ve seen enough in reality. I can probably understand the correlation of his childhood to him growing up to be a HARLOT but does tht excuse his future actions, no. What he should’ve done is break the cycle. He WAS a victim until he isn’t anymore. I really hate seeing people coddle his character lmao. 2 things can be true at once. The things he did as a grown up are simply UNFORGIVABLE, this man isn’t even a “tolerable” character IMO nor should he be. Ugh
