SPOILERS FOR THE ENDING and sorry if its the not the best retelling, it finished early in the year so im going off what i remember
So between this chapter the final ones quite a bit happens but im gonna skip most of it and just try to paraphrase the ending- so Sanghyuk writes a stage play about a group of kids in high school, the plot of it it isnt really relevant but the important part is that he bases it off of his and Junhans time in school, and theres a character based off Junhan who was a bully and in the show has a monologue about how sorry he is and how much he regrets his action. So obviously Junhan is in the play and is playing that character based off himself, and they’re doing shows and its going super well, and one of the clips of junhan in that play (or maybe a previous play junhan was in, i cant remember) is posted online and jinyoung, the fat kid junhan used to bully in high school, sees it and gets in contact with habin. (There’s also a flashback at some point, jinyoung views habin very positively, he sees him as someone who helped him a lot bc he was always there for him after he got beat up by junhan, tho he doesnt know its just bc habin was stalking junhan lolol), so habin and jinyoung meet up one day, habin gets a video from jinyoung that he had him secretly record back in high school of junhan beating up and berating habin. And btw at this point, habin and junhans relationship has progressed a bit, tho he doesnt admit it, junhan gets a lot of support from habin and gets upset when he doesnt get attention from his (its sooo cute). Anyway so they’ve been doing more performances of this play (and at the same time habin hasn’t been around much and not replying to junhans messages), at this one show there’s professional scouts there to see the performers, mostly junhan, so the pressures on lol. Habin is still nowhere to be seen so junhan is a lil anxious but the show goes well, very well until it gets to his characters monologue about his regrets n sorrows for bullying, and at the very end of his monologue when he goes “im so sorry”, from the audience Jinyoung throws his drink at him calls him a liar and from behind junhan on a big projector/screen the video of him beating up habin plays for the entire audience and scouts to see. He’s mortified and runs out of the theatre yelling and crying for habin and there he appears, junhan runs and breaks down in his arms, ohhhh my god it was so good. Anyway some time passes, junhans career is ooooover, his agency dropped him, his followers hate him, and he was supposed to appear on a dating show (think something like love island)- hes being cut out of that. He’s not going to classes or even going outside, hes started living with habin, who’s thrilled of course but hiding that, and is pretty depressed. This is where sanghyuk finds out that is was junhan who actually hit that person while drunk driving in chapter 1 and not him, he goes to confront him about it and junhans so depressed its like talking to a wall lmao. When he leaves he gets a message from habin along the lines of “don't come back”. So I think at this point some more time passes and now its winter, i think christmas, and habin and junhan are on a date outside (holding hands and shit so cute lol), junhan is hiding his face more and kind of scared of other people and crowds. And at one point habin leaves him alone to use the washroom or something and junhan is thinking to himself like, this is my chance i can leave and run away from him, and does start running but when he gets a little far he gets all scared and anxious about like where would he even go and how other ppl r perceiving him iirc, and makes his way back to where habin left him. They embrace and it ends with a monologue from junhans perspective that was so nice but i cant remember exactly how it went, it was something like love is a dark hole, and if hes falling down he’s gonna cling to habin. Fuuuck something like that. Tbh i did feel it was a bit of a sudden ending, like I was waiting from junhan to find out it was habin who set the video thing up but he never did, and i wanted more of their life together and maybe more of habin background but i do loooove how codependent and fucked up their love is for each other. They need each other. I cant wait for this too be fully translated on here, i miss them. (≧∀≦)
