This is exactly why I've developed the habit of checking the comments before reading anything these days (like how I was just doing, thanks for the heads up lolol). Most newer releases these days seem to just feature handsome psychopaths who abuse the mc for 90% of the time, then mc decides he's had enough, there's two chapters of separation, two chapters of the ml realizing how he's been treating mc, saying sorry and suddenly changing into someone who'll do anything for mc, and then, the end. And most times, there's not even a sex scene with the reformed ml, so the only sex scenes in the newer works are just abusive or cold af, as if authors aren't able to write about respectful, loving sex.
Anyways, I've been reading more shounen ai lately. I feel like it's not as toxic over there (￣∇￣")
I get you(〜￣△￣)〜 I've been reading yaoi for quite some times and I've noticed the increasing amount of unlikeable slops. It's just sad that most of the popular yaoi these days are those slops unfortunately.
That's why I'm turning to danmei nowadays ╮(￣▽￣)╭ I may not have visuals to enjoy but at least the stories are good instead of some slops (I personally read unlimited flow more than other they're just too good (▰˘◡˘▰) )
