I agree with you but I guess in an emotional sense rather than the logical sense (if it was the authors intention of course) if you knew this man, incapable of remorse whether it be not taught or genuine sadism, knowing he killed so many people, would you trust a group of victims, being a victim yourself and witnessing the damage he caused or would you trust yourself to change a mass murderer to never kill again, think about the pressure the whole group also had with him, knowing he was guwons favorite

Jinwoo definitely doesn’t lack critical thinking. To add to Ghost’s comment, that the townspeople already fear Guwon as a threat and that’s not an easy mindset to change, you’re also forgetting that most town people, possibly even Jinwoo himself, want justice/revenge for their lost loved ones. Gunwoo changing his behaviour doesn’t get rid of all the horrible things he’s done.
On top of that, what you’re suggesting is that the townspeople continue to live under a dictator, just a benevolent one. But what they want is self determination. Jinwoo also isn’t infallible, what gives him the right to rule over other’s lives
I don't hate Teach, I hate how easily influenced he is. I also hate how he lacks critical thinking. He easily could've trained his Gorilla mans to change the way he runs the town and how he goes about encountering people on runs that doesn't involve beating them into a pulp.
