So, Andrea actually suffers from physical backlash whenever he uses his powers. He becomes sick for exactly how long he regresses time and the further back he goes, the more sever the backlashes are. His health deteriorated quite a lot when he regressed about hundred or so times to try to save their parents. And then, he regressed almost 10 years to save Liliana. The backlash from going back a decade was actually supposed to kill him, that's why he made Marius and Francois take an oath that they'd take care of the sisters. However, the moment he regressed he was with Liliana and her powers are the reason he's alive but still very very sick.

I still don't understand why the older bro just never even visit liliana once. Is there some kind of rule or condition he has to follow when they turn back the time?
