I agree, he forgave her way too fast and he's not accountable for punishing her tbh because she, herself, understands the situation and that she deserves to be punished — despite of their circumstances it is theirs to bear, I kinda hope ml to have a conflicted arc thou
In the novel he grovels throughout numerous chapters going forward. I think the novel really captures these conflicting feelings of the woman he loves being the same that he wanted dead for so long. The manga doesn’t draw either ones emotions that well unfortunately.

I’m very underwhelmed with Ezikiels reaction, like wdym he realises that Lizan and Rose is the same person and is immediately fine with it.
Like does he even realize the implications? She maimed him and then supported his recovery with total devotion. And he repaid her with poison, imprisonment and indirectly with torture and starvation. She miscarried his child while in prison, has he even reflected on the physical and mental strain she has been under or the loss of what would also be his baby?
I don’t think he deserves punishment for what she went through since what she did also was horrible. It would just have been nice if he were a bit more Introspective and tried to redeem himself somehow.
