It was so good omg

It was so good wtf. Like the way i clicked on this with zero expectations beyond wanting a buff bottom. And it delivered so much more! For starters, the art is so stylized and lovely. I feel like its very comic book style, like American superhero comics. Moonsungs character designs especially is just so good, I loved his eyes, fits, shading, and the way the author drew him in action scenes or when he was using his powers. It was rlly cool. I got chills sometimes at his shadow or silhouette. That scene when he was beating people ppl with a spear at the beginning, when he jumped in backwards into the truck, and when he stuck his hand into that guy's chest for his phone, I had to stop and admire them all. I went back to reread some panels specifically for him.

Secondly, the plot was plotting. It was not an overly complicated plot, but i felt the author did a good job keeping it simple. First, the concept of some ppl being born with supernatural abilities and the association, while not that unique, gives a decent world to explore and expand on. And expand the author did! The theme of Moonsung living 20 years ago, essentially "dying" and being intangible during that time, and having to experience a life in the future with no signs of aging and take revenge against the one that killed him. He is unfamiliar with modern society, almost all the ppl he knew has already died, and the only thing he has left is a thought for a revenge. He has no other ties left. The title "ghost" has so many meanings. His "intagible" ability was used so cleverly and portrayed so cool. Even his weakness, I was not expecting, but i liked it too. The ability of other characters like ML(Hoyeon) and his old collogue were also fun. Esp Hoyeons, I thought it was telekinesis at first but a barrier/domain that can be controlled by him is more interesting and has alot of uses. Even the villains, the evil doctor that collects the blood of supernatural for immortality, its cliche, but hey it works! And it added a layer due to the betrayal from the evil doctor and how it affected Moonsung. So I was satisfied even if the villains didnt have any sad or dramatic reasons.

Then the romance, which i adored. Moonsung is caught up in the past, has no ties to the present, with the only old friend he knows also urging him to take revenge. Then he meets a tie from his past(Hoyeon), not the collegue urging him to continue to remember the past, but someone both familiar and unfamiliar, someone who tells them its ok to be normal, ok to adapt to the present, and ok to look to the future. I liked that the author kinda balances what would've been a unbalanced relationship due to the age gap and the meeting as Hoyeon was a child, by making the present Hoeyon his teacher. This for some reason made me feel very comfortable. Its like the the author acknowledged that yes them meeting when Hoyeon was a child might be odd and the time bending age gap might seem strange, but this Moonsung is truly only 32, has not experienced those years in between, and is actually the inexperienced one in this situation despite being older. On the other hand, Hoyeon is adept at modern society and has changed from when he was a child, so now he can teach the current Moonsung. This echos what Hoyeon says about the age gap, actually considering how many years Moonsung has personally lived, they are only six years apart.

The relationship developed kinda fast but not? For Hoyeon it was love at first sight and for Moonsung, he saw Hoyeon as a tie to the past, then as a reason to live now, and then he saw in Hoyeon normal happiness and love, not just revenge and loneliness. I liked that. I saw in real time as Moonsungs feelings deepened and he grew more attached and protective of Hoyeon. For him, Hoyeon is the light of his life. I also liked how Hoyeon was an ordinary person, but for his love, he stepped out of his comfort zone, accepted everything about Moonsung including his revenge, and even if sometimes he was childish, he rlly became strong for Moonsung and even saved the day. I liked them both so much. And the sex scenes were truly...wow. Thank you author. This is what i needed.

The plot was gradual and i was pretty satisfied with it even tho i wanted like 2 more chapters of wrap up. I was satisfied bc I saw them both looking very cool using their powers and getting victories, as well as losing and getting injured, which was a nice balance. The side characters didnt have that much depth, but they were distinct and didnt blend into each other, alongside driving the plot, which imo is enough. I didnt mind Moonsung giving up on killing the doctor, even tho i usualy do. I didnt feel this was some weird forgiveness is healing that i usually hate. Instead, i felt Moonsung wanted to move on, i rlly felt that he didnt want to live as a ghost anymore. He wanted to stop being stuck in the past and live in the present with Hoyeon. Instead, it was the old friend that took revenge when he shot and killed the doctor, which i felt was more fitting. The research was also confiscated and stopped. This needed a few more chapters I felt but I still liked it and it didnt feel that rushed.

In conclusion Im very surprised this is not more popular on here. The rating shoukd have at least a 9.3 due to how complete and solid this is. It has none of the problems plaguing recent manhwas like rape(tho some sleep dub con), abuse, nonsensical plots etc. This is a very solid read. Im surprised I've never heard of it. I would def recomend this.
