I don’t think yall understand it

She’s postpartum right now. She’s postpartum with no child in her arms and no support for that. I don’t think men understand that the hormones really do affect your stability. It’s bad enough when you do have your child in your arms but as someone who has miscarried (I didn’t even want the child and was planning to abort), it broke something in me. The hormones rushing through me broke me. It’s not even the reality itself but my own body would remind me of all the things that could have been that wasn’t. And she’s going through that WHILE dealing with her other trauma. I think it’s interesting how he, as a man, hasn’t even considered that maybe the kindest gesture he could have done was allow her to follow her child or to not be around her while she reconciles with the fact that she lost her child alone because of his actions. Of course, this is absolutely on her for being fooled by her parents and for accepting the blackmail instead of just letting him know and let him sort it out but she was scared and young. It’s also not his fault that she committed the crime or that she lied to him or drank the poison. Those were her choices. But he chose to see a woman have a miscarriage and leave without any medical attention. IRL, this is a war crime. Under international humanitarian laws, protocol 2 and Geneva convention laws, pregnant women are given special treatment even in the case of heinous crimes resulting in being a death row inmate since the baby is an innocent civilian and you cannot kill an innocent civilian for the crimes of another. Not to mention how unethical it is to save her and then continue to traumatise her by having her face you, who walked past her near unconscious and bleeding body, who walked past her losing YOUR child, all for the sake of your own joy as a man. It’s disgusting. I actually don’t want her to ever forgive him. I think if she died now, it would be tragic but also probably the best outcome for her personally. I have cptsd and even I struggle to live day by day so just imagining all she’s going through, I wouldn’t last a minute. She’s *this* close to going catatonic from what happened to her and it’s heartbreaking to witness. As much as I loved the romance in this, I hope we don’t have any more. I hope he loves her from afar and she lives with some women in a village and she’s a tutor to the children or a florist or something soft and nurturing. She deserves a soft life or a quick painless death.
