There are definitely cringe parts to this story, but I don’t think that’s one of them.
I mean, sure, but it’s always been a trope (in romance & elsewhere) that foreign characters accidentally speak in or occasionally dropphrases in their native tongues, as if the author constantly needs to remind the reader that they’re a foreigner (also speaking as someone who has Korean as a 2nd language, that’s not how it rly happens, altho I suppose others might disagree). I think it’s pretty obvious that the author is a fan of kpop lol. Not necessarily a bad thing but it bleeds into her characterization… ha-min’s 2 character traits r cute & Korean, basically. No hate to the ppl who r into it, but it’s not my thing
