It was good but I felt like something was missing. I would’ve loved to see the process of Shizume slowly coming out of his shell and opening up in front of his parents or even starting to show more PDA with his uke. But I also understand his situation. Not everyone is the same and everyone has their own pace when it comes to dealing with things. A simple-minded uke and a complex seme dynamic isn’t everyone’s cup of tea so I can understand the criticism in the comments. That said I’m not defending the compromises and adjustments the uke had to make for the seme either.
