Manga Review

It's pretty lovely! Diving into it, the first chapter didn't pull me much right away. It seemed just cute and it was made to look as if the characters' reason for keeping their relationship a secret was superficial. So, it's a nice thing that it eased to highlighting the weight of their relationship and the possible consequences should it be revealed by giving their backstory. The story, from the conflict and resolutions, was straightforward, but the portrayal of their internal struggles and yearning were lovely to read. I particularly loved the callback of leaving one after the other when they realized they can come out at the same time. And I really really loved the midoka's thought of how aloy doesn't deserve to be kept as a secret. I do get the use of their status for the plot, but I still don't quite get the purpose of their powers and such? Maybe the author just likes fantasy, but it's not really serving much purpose to the story itself. Anyways i saw the wlw implications coming before it even hit.

P.S. NO MOM BACKSTORY??? GIVE ME ALMS (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜

Forgot to mention how pretty the art style is! Like it's so sparkly i could eat it and it would taste like those sweet popping candies

I was thinking the same about the powers too!!! I really liked the fantasy-esque setting, but I kept wondering for far too long whether they actually had magic or if it was just alchemy/chemistry and he was just doing a reaction at the beginning
I really wish the manga was longer so we could get more world building, but the story was lovely as it is too~
