Omg. The amount of people making completely inaccurate descriptions about the characters is genuinelly making me go insane. LIKE POOKIEBEARS USE YOUR BRAIN

Please for the love of god learn empathy, while ur at that also learn Psychopathy—personally i think Greyson does have it, i dont think it was comfirmed in the novel.

Clearly, everyone in any story has their pros and cons. So does Dane And Greyson. Greyson is clearly psychopathic and his parents didnt rlly teach him empathy and he didnt take it up himself either as we can see.

Dane also has his flaws—as much as I loved him in KMIYC nd KML—he DID rape greyson that night, more like it started off noncon and ended with greyson enjoying it but nontheless rape because Dane used his pheromones to make Greyson feel pleasure (?)

Just cause you like a character doesnt mean you have to defend a character:-

I like Greyson Miller but he's psychopathic; he doesnt understand or regulate his emotions, he doesnt understand whats right or wrong and he lacks a lot of empathy. He doesnt take responsibility for his actions nor does he respect boundaries.

But just cause i like the character does not mean i support what he did. Psychopathy is a wiring in your brain, a factor. He could've learnt empathy and became a better human but he chose not to. His parents havent taught him empathy either; thats another factor. Factors can lead up to somebody being a 'bad' human being but it cannot—ultimately—stop them from being a better person. So we cannot excuse Greyson Millers actions simply because of these factors and because of his psychopathic tedencies but we can understand that these factors caused these actions.

And Dane also has some issues and needs to solve them. Whatever happened in his childhood has stunted him so he definetely needs to check that but more or less he is more healthy mentally than Greyson.

Dane also is strange though i havent done much research on him so i wouldnt know how to write a character sketch on him. But I know his basics. He has empathy, he feels sympathy for animals and victims. He is kind. But he is suicidal—not depressively—in a way that he THINKS he doesnt deserve to live in a case of sacrifice because he has no one—clearly false.

And he's afraid of having a kid, he doesnt want to turn out to be like his mom (i wont say anything more since i dont wanna spoil )

But please do your research on empathy levels and third dimensional characters before making a rant about a charater cause i'm sick and tired of people calling Greyson a Red Flag while praising Dane to the skies.

(I hate the term flags in general, it limits characters to one sterotype with no abstract catogories. We cant place characters into boxes because their so abstract and strange—catogorising them would remove the complexities of a character because we're just boxing them in.)

The reason I love Zig's novels so much—except Roses and Champagne, I need to do some more detailed research about that but Caeser is def a 'bad' human being with factors of being so—is because they makes 3rd dimensional characters.

Unlike any other author, Zig genuinely makes characters with pros and cons. With empathy so i enjoy her novels very much :D

So Just take this simple advice. Research abt the characters then write a character sketch. And just dont make character sketches if you box ppl up to 'red flag', 'green flag', 'yellow flag' or 'black flag'. Because human beings and characters dont work like that.

Anyways if anyone wants to novel just ask me for the link, ill send

a whole essay? damn. Never knew this comic would stir everybody up to fight for their biased fictional characters. You know what? Excellent business strategy, the more divisive the community, the more engagement for profit to the authors' advantage. Wonder how the comments section in lezhin might look like,
