Well he wasn't really ever portrayed as a nasty slimy kind of guy I think? Like he was pretty upfront about his failings. And those failings were actually pretty easy for me to understand personally. And despite that it looks like he always tried his best at whatever he did. So yeah I thought he was slimy but I never hated him. Still I'm not going to say I liked him. But now I have to say I think I really like him now!
I think you were meant to think he was super untrustworthy and odd from the beginning and then now learn he really wasn't
l didn’t expect liking/sympathizing that guy because of his backstory i always thought he was just a slimy little guy whos greedy af
