Fr. When I said the same thing months ago, people were practically burning me at the stake in the public square. But I love this story, it just keeps driving me crazy with how the narrative ignore everything and focus on the still non existent romance of them. It would be ok to he slow burn if there was literally ANYTHING to keep us interested in the story. And when we think were FINALLY getting some action in the romance, the story just ignore it or pass through it like it's nothing. Anyways, it's a waiting game.
Lol, I've said it for a while and everyone's like "oh, but we're still early in the story." Well, now we're like halfway through season 2...so what now? NGL, I almost quit the series back in season 1 due to the whole "Oh, my coworker casually reveals he's a vampire but we go nowhere with that," ML having a human friend that knows he's a vampire but makes barely any appearance, the time jump, and the whole weird dynamic since ML being in a school uniform (was he in college or high school?) and MC calling himself an old man making their relationship feeling bigger than 6 years. I can't even fully enjoy the romance because the MC keeps seeing the ML like a kid and the ML is so shy and innocent-acting like he still IS one. The romance is dragged out, and the lore is almost nonexistent. I'd still be annoyed if this was a story about regular people, but this is just like "Bite to Unlock" where it's mainly about the vampire sucking the MC/ML's blood rather than expanding on the vampire lore, like it's quirky or something.
Also, side note: a lot of BLs have the uke lose their job or quit or something like that and relying on the seme, and given the MC is suspected to be the uke and the company he works for is shutting down soon, I'm worried that's gonna happen.

I've said it a bunch of times: this story has a REALLY interesting concept, but they're not capitalizing on it. Like many BLs, they're just focusing on the couple over the worldbuilding--which can make the story feel less interesting, especially one about vampires. We don't even get to see the ML's one friend outside of MC. School's faded to the background, work's faded to the background, and every time the vampire stuff pops up, we just push it to the side, even though the ML said early on that he was ostracized for being half-vampire. Both ML and MC are keeping ML from getting more involved in the vampire community--and the worst thing is that it's used as a "connection" thing, that ML would probably feel more comfortable with MC than other vampires. That's fine...but don't give me a vampire series that skimps on the lore. There have been TWO times now in this series where MC finds out that vampires work at his job, and it's treated casually and nothing really happens. At this point, with how the romance is a slow-burn (and the MC is likely gonna be the uke), I'm mainly reading for the scraps of vampire content.
