Mokyeon this, mokyeon that

No hate but What’s y’all’s problem with Mokyeon, huh??

“He’s so pathetic.”
“God, he’s so annoying. Why does he cry so much?”
“Why has he lost so much muscle?”

God forbid a man CRIES, shows his feelings, and lets himself be vulnerable with someone he loves and trusts.

And no, this isn’t some sudden change. THIS IS THE REAL HIM. The fuckboy he used to be was just a facade.

Do you have any idea how exhausting it is to fake a personality that isn’t even yours, just to be liked by everyone? To pretend to be someone you’re not, only for people to believe in that fake version of you and take advantage of you?

The “pathetic” personality you’re complaining about is the REAL Mokyeon. And the thing you find so annoying how he cries, how needy and clingy he can be is simply him FINALLY finding someone he feels safe enough to open up to.

He’s finally found someone he can pour out all the emotions, thoughts, and feelings he’s kept bottled up for YEARS.

He’s finally allowing himself to be vulnerable. He’s finally letting someone see the parts of himself he’s spent so long hiding from others.

And somehow, you people see that as a weakness?

When he was with sunhwa and did the agreement you said he was being a dick and manipulative and now when he actually apologised, regrets and trying to change you are saying he is being pathetic and act like a child.

What about nanjo huh? Why is no one talking about his sudden changes?? To me he is more sus right now than mok yet you only talking about how glossy his balls is and the power bottom he is.

Agreed, let Mokyeon express his feelings with the person he loves. And he's so much better now that he's being real and upfront than when he used to put up a fake persona and pretend he was just using Nanjo because he was bored. As for Nanjo... I don't know for sure obviously until we get his pov, but imo his main issue with Mok is that Nanjo didn't trust him because Mok said one thing and did another, that's why he seems to be enjoying himself rn, if he had any doubts before, Mok constantly crying, desiring him so much and professing his love is a sure proof that he's telling the truth rn.

people complaining ab both of their personalities tho. if you scroll further a lot of comments said they feel like reading an entire different manhwa which is valid.
i think its not just ab how mok expressing himself but ab how the author fail to GRADUALLY SHOW the process of the self destruction itself. it all happened in months but theres no proper build up or flashbacks it feels so rushed and jarring to see

He was self destructive all along: Mok punches himself and rips the banana earring out of his own ear, leaving it bleed all over himself. More than gradually, his self destruction has always been there and it flares up when his mental health degenerates.

op talked ab people only coming for mok but i said the sudden switch up also happen to nanjo. what you’re pointing out with mok still isnt the same to the sudden switch up to both of them and its still jarring the way it takes place into the story so theres nothing wrong with calling it out

Thanks honestly his friends not being remotely surprised by his "psycho" antics when they went drinking for Sunwha's birthday made me realize that they must've seen Mok do other self destructive shit to the point they're used to it, we don't need a flashbacks to all of the times it happened to realize that this is his personal way of handling his mental turmoil.

You said the self destruction wasn't gradual, I mentioned some signs that it was there all along in s1 too, Mok was also desperate and needy in s1 especially in chapter 24 when he begs Nanjo to kiss him, Nanjo is very proactive in the same chapter too. Not to mention Mok has always dreamed for Nanjo to take the initiative (chapter 7) and always wanted to let himself be hugged and pampered by Nanjo (chapter 17,18,28). And as I already said when Mok first told Nanjo he wanted him, Nanjo asked "but how can I trust you?" he actually needs Mok to be desperate for him to believe him because Mok has lied to him before and has previously hidden his real intentions. This Mok revealed his true feelings and showed vulnerability, now Nanjo can believe his words, both the confession and the apology. You might not agree with the characters' choices but they make sense within the story.

never said mok is never needy/clingy so idk what you’re on ab. im talking ab the gradual self destruction/proper build up in term of what makes sense to give him a sudden switch up to his current state. and that includes nanjo. idk yall can be in denial all you want but theres no way theres nothing ‘off’ about their characteristics in the latest chapters

ive already replied to you above. just bc thats the direction the author is going with doesnt mean its executed well. its poor writing period

I'm not in denial and I can see the buildup to the story the author is currently telling. Mok being needy and clingy with Nanjo from day 1 because he got obsessed with him is what triggered his childhood abandonment trauma and made him "suddenly" switch up into his current crybaby self. He barely cried when he got abandoned as a child, so he's processing that trauma and the current one of Nanjo leaving him at the same time, no wonder he's a mess. Nanjo's switch up is the same thing, if you reread it's obvious he was interested in Mok since s1, the fallout with Sunwha made him lose his "reputation" in his eyes, broke his savior complex fantasy and that made him lash out in anger at Mok. But Mok is like a drug to him and he can't stay away no matter how much he tries, he gets sucked back into him and their sexual chemistry. And when Mok sincerely took accountability, stopped deciding things for Nanjo, genuinely apologized and confessed it was pretty much all of what Nanjo wanted to hear to begin trusting him. Ofc if their development stops at this and they get together in the next chapter I'll be a bit disappointed too but I'm pretty sure it won't, and for now I'm very much satisfied with the story and characters
