Yes, he's fucked up in the head, he's wrong, but he's not evil. I'm not defending his actions, but that's just how he's wired. It's fair for people to hate him, but jfc! they're really insufferable. Exactly. This is a universe so basing a character's whole personality solely to one story was so stupid. KMIYC is a standalone, mostly focus on sex so people who don't like the other characters can actually leave them. If you can't force someone to like a character, you can't also force everyone to hate a character. If it's not your taste, then go.
The other story was release ~8 years ago, so a lot people read that story before, and also read other stories of the author. The author writes webonovel, not everyone only reads manhwas.
The question is actually do you really understand what was going on with Chase, what Grayson was trying to do, and how that f..cked up universe works? because most who are so riled up because of KMIYC don't or don't want to.
And don't come with the author redconned it, she planned all the stories before she released the first (KML). And Grayson is the character the author invested the most time in (his story was the first she came up with), so if you are not totally ignorant you see that Grayson in the other stories was never shown as someone evil, but in the grey area, sometimes doing crazy sh.t and sometines doing good, and sometimes just observe. But that author never wrote him as evil.
