A very unpopular opinion

I didn't really.... like it? Like i did and I felt a rush of everything while reading it and even tears and A1 art and sex and all but... it's just that... what was the point? It leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. It seems like the sad alternate time line to what would of been a happy story. If just one little thing had changed (Christopher being intercepted and saved early on) it all would have been a swell and happy ending. And I just can't handle that. The story could of been about them finding a cure or getting rid of that evil organization and I just... I guess what I'm trying to say is I won't be rereading this despite... liking it? Maybe? Whatever go ahead and tear me apart now

The ending did seem a bit unsatisfying. Right at the end they throw in the curveball that Sihan's biological dad has died.... huh? Where were his parents when Sihan was in whatever that situation was when he was a child, the brothel, slave market place? What even was the context of that place seeing as it existed not that long ago, and what became of it and all of the other victims? Where was the big conversation about Sihan revealing to Karis his backstory about not being born a royl, why he demanded to be one, and the abuse he faced? There are lots of other things too which could have been fleshed out more, but oh well.

Possibly, the death of Sihan’s father was presented as a reminder to Sihan and readers the frailty of not having royal blood. It also shows/reminds Sihan that Karis will one day die too. Also, his dad’s death could be compared to Ryan’s— such as Ryan who had good intentions died without a proper funeral whereas Sihan’s dad was an ass, but he had a proper funeral...showing that in their world (and ours), many deeds go unnoticed and that’s why we learn to appreciate the ones we are aware of? I don’t know, MasterGin and Chungnyun prolly didn’t want to send that message and just wanted abrupt endings, haha.

Yeah I agree but some of your questions actually were answered. Sihans mother died and his dad was the one who sold him into slavery because it was too expensive to feed him. Then Ryan found him, gave him a dagger, and sihan killed all the employees and then Ryan gave the other kids... homes? Didn't go into detail there and the conviction between him and karis was implied and not shown (aka rushed) the number one thing I thought was left unfinished was the zero control people. Like do they just get to keep on doing all that bad shit? That was the main reason I thought it was pointless. Literally from beginning to end the only thing that changed in this Manga was that Lucaon stopped being a dick.

Thanks, and agree on the other points too. I know the conversation was implied, just as Ryan's death was, but given the impact they had, they did appear a bit glossed over. Also, what happened to Edwin and Intron....
