Please do not take this as me dismissing or excusing Riku being a minor, I just want ppl to know that it's not a big deal in Japan for a 17yo to date someone in their 20s. That's why it shows up in manga a lot. It's a cultural difference. Age gaps matter less as you get older, but when you're a teen, it's a big deal (in my country).
