Guys give me yaois with doomed romance be it doomed first lives, enemies to lovers, couples that never seem like they will be end up together (because of outside forces/internal conflicts, etc.), past trauma, or forbidden love trope that need to put up a fight to be with their s/o, etc. I crave devotion, yearning, angst, love that prevails and all that good stuff.
If you are to recommend something with a bad ending do give me a warning <3

Just finished reading 'Like a fever dream' today! Does anyone have any recommendations similar to it? With all the high stakes, emotional turmoil, and unwavering devotion. I don't mind against as long as they have a happy ending. I want to read something that makes me hold my breathe again.
Maybe you can find something you like from my list! (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ

Guys suggest yaois with plot AND art so good that melted your brain and changed ur brain chemistry <3
looking at both reunion and happy together if I want something that I can reread easily
however, I’m currently rereading this one again since I really how the author clearly knows what she’s doing ‘and’ how the relationship itself actually subtly matures and develops without the unfortunate usual SA thank god
https://www.mangago.me/read-manga/yatara_yarashii_fukami_kun/
(ongoing, 75 chapters as of currently)
to summarize, mc (who starts as a yellow flag at best) works in an office where he’s very popular and admired by his co workers when in reality he’s putting a front and is actually a playboy narcissist
he cannot find love despite hooking up with guys and being on dating apps (while at the same time judging and rating his hook ups and people)
everything changes when he meets the ml who’s a co worker but also his polar opposite with the two going on a business trip that results in them with agreed consent! sleeping together and making a deal that as long as mc doesn’t fall for ml they can keep sleeping together
I’ve stayed with it because they have some really sweet moments together throughout the story and both as characters grow and have very valid later on explained reasons why they act and talk the way they both do
yes there’s an anime adaptation aka 8 short episodes that did animated the manga up till chapter 24 I believe? with minor changes from the manga such as dialogue but they had priorities absolutely in order since they kept the sex scenes in anyway (uncensored version anyone? also I much prefer the dub over the sub especially mc’s voice)
there’s also the live action adaptation that off the top of my head I’m not sure if it’s out yet? forgive me on my behalf if it is

Do you guys have any recommendations like the bl 'Reunion' in the sense that the art and how everything is portrayed is so cinematic and beautiful?
ive always felt reunion and Not Blossom touched my heart the same, theyre portayed cinematic and beautiful stories. If you do read, i hope Not Blossom is meaningful to you too
Since I’ve never read Reunion (or at least I don’t remember doing so), this recs may not be all too accurate.
https://www.mangago.me/read-manga/yang_il_woo_and_i/ I wouldn’t say the story is cinematic and beautiful per se, but the author manages to portray both the mcs and mls feelings so beautifully. Maybe it’s a little cinematic now that I think about it. The art may not be to your tastes, but the story is so good I hope you can look past that (the bodies are anatomical and everything dw)
https://www.mangago.me/read-manga/the_forgotten_field/ There aren’t many chapters of this story yet (not Yaoi) but it’s already incredibly heart-breaking. The majority of characters in this story are morally grey or, at least, you can’t call most of them “good” or “evil” so simply like that. Maybe a little cinematic and the art is stunning as well.
https://www.mangago.me/read-manga/the_mountain_branches_dream_of_goblins/ This story isn’t always that cinematic in my opinion, but when it wants to strike you in the feels, it hits hard. This happens mostly during flashbacks or bonding scenes. Between the Mc and ml.
https://www.mangago.me/read-manga/red_string_quests/ This may seem like a rec that doesn’t get what you’re asking for at all during the first few chapters (the story is still good in the beginning) but TRUST ME, this one’ll sucker punch you in the feels out of NOWHERE.
https://www.mangago.me/read-manga/the_third_decade_dindin/ There aren’t many chapters out yet, but I’d call it cinematic so far…? The Mc and ml’s respective struggles are portrayed really well. I love when characters feel unabashedly human.
https://www.mangago.me/read-manga/sahan/ This story was the first one I thought about for this prompt, and reading it will make you see why quickly. The author masterfully uses flashbacks in order to connect back to the present and it never feels annoying when you’re hit with one. The season finale had me raging tho (no misunderstandings, no SA, it pissed me off for other reasons, not for bad writing/tropes)
https://www.mangago.me/read-manga/paljae/ A bit hard to understand, but this story fits this prompt in my opinion. It should be more highly rated but, as I mentioned previously, it’s a bit hard to understand (because of the Chinese terminology used that most don’t know all that well), so it may take a second to get into. The story feels easier to read after the first few chapters.
https://www.mangago.me/read-manga/little_mushroom/ Beautiful story. Not quite as emotional as the other ones, but it still has its charms. Too bad we won’t technically be getting a continuation, but what we have is great. (I’m tired of typing— it’s not that I don’t have much to say about this story)
https://www.mangago.me/read-manga/blossoms_of_the_white_night/ Too… lazy… to… type. BWAT stories are peak… Art style is pretty… I expect angst in the future…
ASTERISM
