I think that this sex scene makes sense and it is not pointless ( I can be wrong btw) I don't know but Like, shizu believe that hiragi is misunderstanding his type of love. He thinks that it is a "I love you" like friends while shizu wants a relationship like couple. In shizu's head, putting sex on the table will make hiragi realize what kind of feeling he has. In the chapter 38 shizu putts hiragi's legs in his dick. ( At first I thought he was talking about his mouth) so it makes sense both of them to have sex right know.

Just to add in on what you said chizu was abit aggressive with his approach to hiragi' though he almost traumatized him lol but again i don't think they're going to have sex too the author has this thing of overstretching what's gonna happen between the characters i mean look at haruki&akihiko it took her more than 10 chapters to get them together after akihiko confessed and they're both adults so..you can imagine how practically nothing is going to happen between chizu & hiiragi for now i think

Honestly I would have been disappointed if he ended up with Taku. Haesoo and Joowon were truly in love for years. Because their relationship was built on a foundation of guilt, immaturity, lack of experience, and fears it became toxic. When they finally admitted their feelings to each other and decided to take the time apart they were able to mend that.
Taku loved Haesoo but if he were honest he was fully aware he was chasing somebody who was still in love with their ex. That was why he was getting anxious and more desperate. Honestly if they stayed together they would have become toxic too.

Same, I was so afraid that the author maybe choose taku as the endgame, it would not make any sense for me. Maybe because I never feel the chemistry ?
The love Joowon and Heasoo have is so big and strong, but they both were too afraid for being honest, and that’s the reason why I love this story and this relationship so much, they’re development is so satisfying and amazing, see heasoo who was so afraid about is mom, being ready to think of him and not of her, and he finally understand that joowon was not a bad person like he said in the beginning of the first seasons, he also suffered like him
