Okay, confession time I’m really sorry, but I kind of don’t love it when the FL jumps into these scenes. It’s not even dislike, it’s just that I fell way too hard for the father–daughter bond. That dynamic felt so raw and free, like they finally had room to breathe and exist on their own terms.
When the FL appears, the atmosphere shifts back into “proper plot mode,” and I suddenly miss that chaotic, unrestrained energy. I keep thinking… is her presence really necessary in every moment? Could we please let Leo and the dad take center stage a bit longer?
Yes, I’m fully aware this is ultimately a story about the ML and FL, and technically Leo is the one who barged into the original narrative flow. I understand that. But emotionally? I completely betrayed the intended storyline because the father–daughter arc captured me more.
There was something so satisfying about watching a ruthless, capable father and his daughter quietly (or not so quietly) dismantle imperial power together. I know this might sound unhinged, but in my heart, that was the real main plot, and I miss it every time we move away from it.
no cuz i thought the duke was gonna stay a permanent bachelor... i mean wasnt this already been set up? that the duke doesnt need marriage anyway bc he has a successor now? it wouldve been a lot more iconic if the duke remained single & for varia to lead her own life outside the confines of marriage...
The thing is, Varia really IS IMPORTANT for the plot, I don't wanna give spoilers but Varia can't be just taken out easily and you'll find out why eventually. Anyways, you really don't have to worry about the father-daughter relationship because if they are going to follow the novel closely their relationship will just get better and better, and the way they toy with the whole imperial family will just get funnier for the coming chapters. Also a little bit of a spoiler (not really) Varia will play a very important role in deepening the father-daughter relationship. You will absolutely love her and her weirdness.
is she doormat? or she just plainly stupid. that white lotus urghhh. the Mc was once surrounding by toxic ppl in her previous life. why didnt she learnt anything from it. sigh. dropping this regardless of how beauty the art is
This what stopped you?)
I was crazed by the "house arrest" ... in another man's house! Girls in such societies couldn't even be left in one room alone for the risk of lost reputation. And she stays somewhere alone and decides to work as a maid for some reason. And that suprises no one. Emagine, say, Kate Middleton being on all fours scrubbing the floors "to atone" when the is no trial and no evidence
I better hope for a non-existence of romance. I rather have a bromance (non yaoi of course) it much more exciting than having a useless clingy damsel in distress pop up out of nowhere. No need to prove the awesomeness by having a chick inserted in a plot. The story itself makes me read it nonstop. Hoping Gray to punch that blue hair glasses at the cram school so hard that he goes back 5 yeArs ago.ლ(´ڡ`ლ)
Am i evil when hoping that the clingy actress get killed during bridge bombing. She is to clingy, annoying, irritating and all shit that i hope i cannot find in a great manhwa. Why do the author need to put this unnecessary scene filled with unnecessary romance subplot. I rather have jinho with yoomin or even bromance with secretary cho, they atleast can take care of themselves. And helping out like yoomin with pizzeria and sec cho with behind the scene matter. Can all the female character go back to any hole and cease to exist. If i want a romance i can go read shoujo manga. I just want to peacefully read a non-romance, action pack manga. (╬ ̄皿 ̄)凸
I hate that stupidly innocent naive Janette (╬ ̄皿 ̄)凸. Like can she have some common sense. You dont follow stranger, you dont talk all your secret and ask them to keep it silent. You dont share things like that in a magical world, they can create a whole bizarre situation (╯°Д °)╯╧╧. You, Janette bring curse upon Athy and Claude. You, Janette naively believe that they are your family when your mother is a w**** whom wants to be royalty and your dad is so f***** up that the soul change. (︶︿︶)=凸 #doneRanting i just want to let go this stressed up situation with other readers. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ yeah i know some might say that Janette is innocent. I shall blame the parent. I dont care, i blame all of them. Dont worry. ε=ε=(ノ≧∇≦)ノ
I don't think you could say that the MC was raised properly. If anything Jenette and the MC have similar situations because they both lack proper parent figures in their lives. In the MC's past life it's been referenced that she had missing parent figures (whether due to child neglect or their deaths) and that is the reason as to why the MC develops an attachment to Claude despite being a grown woman (it's due to having a parent figure for the first time). It's true that Athy is mentally more mature as she's lived longer, but as seen by Ijekiel it's possible to be young (15-16) and be mature. Especially if one's been exposed to such an environment that Jenette has.
I think most people in the comments are mad at Jenette because despite the harsh reality she's been experiencing, she denies it and believes in her own make-believe fantasy of a family. I guess whether you believe that to be naivety or positivity is up to you.

“Anyway, this uninvited guest will be leaving now. If you fall into eternal sleep, let me know. I’ll send a wreath or something.”
“Uninvited guest? That’s a hurtful thing to say.”
As I turned to leave, Seong Hyunjae grabbed me and pulled me close. He yanked off my hat and tossed it away, then rested his chin on the top of my head. He’d done this before, why was he doing it again?
“I wasn’t invited, so I am an uninvited guest.”
“My items are a free pass anywhere.”
Haha gay
