I've been reading manhwa for 5 years now, until i realise something. The more i read manhwa (child mc) i get annoyed for some reason. Well not all the manhwa like that i hate it but for some reason i come to dislike if the father love for their daughter is overwhelmed. To the point he fool for his daughter, will do everything for his daughter and the most things i hate the most if where the father pay more attention to his daughter than his sons.
Well there's no rules to say the father can't love his daughter more but who want a father that has his love more than he love his sons? If the author make it like that might as well make that his only child. And then where the brothers also love their sister to the point of destroying anything or kill anyone who dare to make their sis cry or whatever. I mean that's fine i don't really have any problems with that but don't be overly. (The plot where the father and bros fool for the daughter/sister can't be excused the fact that their father pay more attention to his daughter than his sons).

I know right. I mean I still binge those stories, but I'm finding them more and more ridiculous because while I love the familial love they feel more like walking predictable tropes. Apart from the whole problem of the father not loving the sons, it doesn't really feel genuine anymore and I'm not feeling it like I did at the beginning. The ones I remember being slightly more different were My Daddy Hides His Power (+ novel, my absolute favorite of the genre), Once Again Into The Light Alone, Monster Duchess and Contract Princess (because surprise, the main parent is the mother!) and others I can't remember. Other than that they're basically all the same
The only explanation is that the audience is well known, we are all lacking love from our fathers. But idk imagining myself being appreciated by my father like that disgusts me.
