I’m sorry but this just raised my standards for omegaverse manhwas the plot is actually plotting. Not just random drama and recycled tropes, the story is genuinely GOOD. More authors need to study this formula fr.
Don't hate me for saying this, but this mc is genuinely one of the least attractive BL protagonist I've ever seen . It's not even the features, he just gives off a permanent musty vibe and I can't unsee it.
The nosebleed really worries me. The MC looked genuinely happy during practice, so the timing feels strange. I’m starting to wonder whether this is related to the Happy Pills he was forced to take in the past, or if it’s a result of the trauma and depression he’s been carrying for years. Either way, it feels like there’s something much more serious going on with his health than we know so far..
The first art style actually understands the soul of the novel. You can immediately feel the angst, tension, and emotional weight just from the expressions, lighting, and overall atmosphere alone. It has identity and feels emotionally alive. Meanwhile, the second art style looks like every other generic manhwa out there, polished maybe, but too safe, monotonous, and lacking any distinctive personality or emotional impact. It doesn’t leave a lasting impression at all.
Honestly, why didn’t they choose an illustrator with a vibe similar to the artists behind Diamond Dust, Steel Under Silk, or Payback? Those art styles have strong identity and know exactly how to build chemistry, atmosphere, and emotional intensity without making everything feel copy-pasted from the usual mainstream manhwa formula.
The plot is honestly pretty similar to most BL manhwas, toxic red flag ML, endless angst, then a melancholic redemption arc Nothing really groundbreaking plot-wise. The real reason people stay invested is the characters and the art style bcs they’re the main attraction carrying the whole story.
Manhwa artists really said continuity is optional One chapter his leg brace is on the left, next chap it magically teleports to the right. In the latest chap I couldn’t even focus on the scene bcs I kept checking which leg the brace was on It’s honestly so funny.
