It seems like Prof Cha is the ML's half bro from a different father, esp since he mentioned having a younger bro. The MC's past kidnapping during his teenage yrs is also connected to the ML's family i guess, Prof Cha actually used the MC, who is the ML's most precious person, as a guinea pig to test his new drug. After the MC transformed, Prof Cha brought him to the ML's place to make the ML the scapegoat. Since the side effect causes the MC to forget many memories, the ML will definitely be blamed bcs he gave it out of his own obsession, even though he's aware of the side effects.
