There's just a special type of something about troubled, morally gray minds that makes me oh so delighted to be along for whatever strange ride they have to offer me.
I especially adored the unreliable viewpoint of Yaba. There's something secure in the unsound for me, as strange as it is.
I had even read this one first, but I happened to stumble upon another one by the name of "Isekai no Sata wa Shachiku Shidai", AKA "The Affairs of the Other World Depend on the Corporate Slave" while looking for similar tropes.
It began as a series of novels in 2018 but, starting in March of 2020, evolved into a manga adaptation—for reference, volume 1 of the manga "My Younger Knight Takes Care of Me in Another World" didn't come out until May 27, 2025.
The similarities between the two are too close, too consistent, and too mirrored for me to feel anything other than uncomfortable. There's a fine line between inspiration and plagiarism; this one feels like it's tipped too heavily to the latter. I just cannot, in good conscience, ignore it. Maybe it means nothing, but I just wanted to let others know, should they also be wondering.
