I think people are way too focused on the note and the piano, but youre right, the fact that those were his immediate reaction is messed up beyond measure. It's completely fucked up. I just hope that in S6, he suffers more. And I am actually, really happy that Garam broke the piano, because before, during his crashout, hj yelled at Garam, saying that he could survive with only his music and that it was Garam who was clinging to him all along. I think Garam took the last memory which linked hj with him before leaving, so that the only thing hj is left with is his music. (And sorry for the broken eng in my og text, lol- i was so heated up, i didnt even recheck before posting)

Yeah, even his monologues have the power to irk me up. And the audacity of him, after crashing out at garam, and then asking, "Is this what love is to you?" At this point, it's just an excuse that he is a being born for music. The real thing is that he doesn't want to let go of his ego that he is a knife, unable to feel the feelings a human's heart can feel.

And have you seen the author’s Twitter side account? They replied to someone back in 2023 saying that Youngho and Garam’s relationship isn’t entirely over and that we’ll see Youngho in Season 6 lmaoo. It’s crazy that the author already had the plot mapped out years ago.

i do think it was garam who broke it because no matter how harsh and egoistic hj is, he wouldn't destroy the piano which holds so many imp memories of garam with him, and he is a type of guy who got angry, when sm scratched on the piano; he holds it too godly to destroy it- the only person who has a reason to destroy it here is Garam- by destroying the one last memory which links hj to him, he is perhaps trying to say that not even his past fleeting memories/presence will cling to hj anymore. its the one great move he could do to show that they have is not love anymore.


and yes, i saw it! i am really really excited to see youngjo! and i hope he changed a bit from last time~ i guess, Garam will now return back to Korea to his parent's, i cant wait for next week!!

Garam definitely broke it. The panel where Heejae stood you can see the white space with the slight cracks underneath. He couldn’t have broke it while holding the gloves/ note & Maria would intervene thou. Anw, I think the broken piano is a nice touch to this chapter. While it plays a crucial part in HJ/GR development, it also links to the ex manager as well. The fact that the only tangible connection with that manager is now finally destroyed (and no other form of physical media remains of him). It’s about time he has to come to terms with his feelings, his regret and how much he thinks he really treasures their relationship & Garam as a person, not just merely a music tool/gem anymore. He knows this btw as he’s already succeeded once when he tried to prevent Garam from leaving. Obviously before that “Eurydice act happens”, we’ll have to witness his suffering, which I’m guaranteed tuned in lmao. But god, that conversation in the car was such an awful sight & I felt terrible for Garam. The way he clung to his last straw & tried his best to give Heejae some leeways but he ruined it right away. It’s lonely if you think abt it, being stuck in America with no others from of closeness with people except Heejae & music. Now it turns into being the biggest source of pains for him :(. You can’t run away from it at all. NYC is literally Heejae. I think I’m gonna die if thinking too much abt this lmao.

Him going back to Korea is pretty much him giving up on his music career (tbvh heejae is way too involved in his career even his manager is taking his commands) Like, what is he even gonna do there aside from his military service? Lmao. I wish he would pursue music and evolve his sound without Heejae’s direct involvement, but with that broken piano, it really does feel like he’s dropping music altogether. Funny how every single one of Heejae’s students, except Naeun’s sister, stopped playomg piano for various reasons.

I remember back then, on their flight to the US, Garam’s monologue was something like, “Once this plane takes off, I’m going to be truly alone,” and tbh, he was absolutely right. He was basically living on Heejae’s cake the moment he left Korea everyone around him is either involved with Heejae or on his payroll, even the kind ones like Maria, Eva, and his own manager. Like, where is he supposed to go now? He has nobody in that country except maybe Valter, and he just happens to be a fellow member of the Heejae Victim Support Group. I wonder if he's going back to Korea but that means he's giving up on his music career and I hate to see that I want to see him prosper as independent artist and evolve is sound without that hag direct involvement but I guess breaking the piano means he’s leaving both Heejae and music behind (I hope I'm wrong)

I don't think so. Going back to korea is dropping his careers, pianist takes break now and then- it's common- but I also dont think he will take a break that long. he could also do shows back in Korea for a few months; it's entirely up to his agency and him. And I feel like if he does go back home, it's actually a good reset; he gets to spend time with his family and friends. A place where he actually feels loved. And knowing Garam, if i am not wrong- he isn't the type of guy who will quit his agency just because hj is involved in it. HJ is still his teacher who taught him everything. he did surely cut the lover tag between them, but he will still keep a respectable student-teacher relationship with hj, unlike the others.

I wouldn't say Seongmin is a perv, he was just fapping in the office room to relieve 'stress', and also, after reading ch 87,88 i dont think the character Seongmin is really that hard to figure out. He doesn't give a fuck about Yuwon, that's for sure; he just goes with the flow because Yuwon is his senior, and it's rare for a senior to be close to a junior, especially in company settings. Since Yuwon thinks of him as a friend, he lets him think that and acts around it. Before I spoil ch88, i will give a gist of ch 87 first- it started with Yuwon saying that even though he loves Duhoon, he cant breath around him. That he thinks of Seongmin as a friend who really cares for him (he doesnt). That Seongmin is the only one who makes him happy- which takes DH to call SM over to the terrace to talk about smg. They talk it over (about smoking stuff; how it relieves stress and all), it starts friendly, as DH asks how long Seongmin worked and if he and yw were close since then- that if he really considered yw as a close friend like yw did. to which sm said "Of course I do". But DH cut him off with "i doubt that's true"- sm laughs it off- asking what dh meant by it- dh asked sm to drop his act. sm laughed it off again and did drop his act- and said "If Mr Jeong wants me to be his friend if he really wants to think that, how could I refuse that, after all he is senior. i must obey him. and since you and the assistant manager seem so close since way back that, after all. The fact that he became so comfortable around you while you weren't by his side means he changed. things have change", dh cut him off saying, "No. Nothing has changed. especially not jung yuwon. he is still the same. still i dont know why he relies on you more than me. Why he still seeks you even when I am by his side- why he cried his eyes out- saying, only you make him happy. So- Mr Kim, all I want to ask of you is to stay by his side. Make him happy, just like you are doing now. i want you to do the one thing i cant. when when i try to. All you have to do is make sure yw isnt unhappy as he is with me." to which sm asked "since you are being so honest with me, i thought you didnt like me, team leader" dh paused for a moment asking how should he do it- he could make yw happy, he already gave him money and house (smg yw wanted when he was in hs not now)- so which sm rejects his offer- saying he cant do- that making sm happy geniuenly in difficult- and that one wrong move and he and yw might fall for each other- and he askes if dh was still okay with it to which dh laughs and says 'haha, mr kim you dont need to overthink it- all you need to do is continue what you have been doing till now. make yw happy." sm still rejects him offers and calls out saying "you want to know how to make yw happy, right.? " with it ch 87 ends. and with ch 88, continues - DH pauses not sure what made sm change his mind but sm continues saying "because i feel bad for him. if you want to make him happy. ask him one more time. what he really wantes, not what he wanted back in hs- but what he wants now. because i m pretty sure its different now, bcz people change- even without realizing people do change. he too has changed. so please, ask him one more time what he really wants" back at home, dh and yw were choking each other when dh asked what yw wanted- to which yw said he wanted him to choke harder- fuck harder- DH knew yw wasnt happy- he knew it- but he delusioned himself into thinking that -when yw smiles as he loses his sanity- DH was making him happy- he didnt care about yuwon happiness anymore- he was fulfilled by that suffocating laugh- he didnt need sm to make yw happy anymore- only he was allowed to do that- yuwon only needs him and no one else- with that two week passed- and went out to visit sm to was busy fapping with a hammer, to which sm humored "what is it, team leader? need more relationship advice?" now- he will turn into a flowerpot.
