I don't know either, but I can think of some reasons, like the nobles didn't like MC ruling since he's such a fair ruler and rebellion happened. while maybe not all nobles can be like that, there are some and maybe most that in power. And joined the nephew(the black hair guy who called mc uncle in ch1) to take over the thrown with promises of something. It's obvious that he's corrupted so those shady nobles would have join for something.

And there is the dislike of MC being a Mage, while it can just be the Nephew Personal opinion and his own inferiority. Some others can also think similarly to him as there is such trashy short sighted people exist. ╮(￣▽￣)╭ discrimination exists everywhere.

You made me remember that no one knew he is a mage part cuz it doesn't show it that much.
