I really think asirpa has a feeling for Sugimoto. She is not really a child, she is independent and being in that era, the age that considered a woman can married is younger than nowadays. If you refer to the epsd when they met asirpa's hutchi (grandma), her grandma also said she is at the age to marry someone.
