i’d be interested to see who would be his next love after our girl. because that girl is probably gonna get an absolute lover boy. i kinda think it might be our girls friend bc she gives me the vibe of a person who wouldn’t put up with him similar to your female lead.
also i’m unsurprised our female lead is sobbing. you’re realizing in real time you love someone and yet you’re feeling rejected and dismissed by them. it hurts hopefully this revolved in the next few chapters.
i do feel like the flashbacks are excessive a bit however…they’re so sweet i’m kinda giving them a pass. they do add to why characters are moving the way they are. and if i’m being frank childhood friends to love does need a lot of this to work. especially since they started at sex, without establishing their feelings or even what their relationship is. plus we got so much angst from them being “fighting”/being apart, this kind of a nice break
this actually a pretty well written manhwa. we haven’t met many character but based on what we know there’s a lot of complexity. her mother clearly has a story, but the best example so far is her ex. without it being clearly stated we see the difference in love. her ex is selfish, he told her to write mainstream work, and even telling her to write about their love story. the whole time though their love story is highly toxic and not love at all but control. he’s her superior, he controlled her writing, and he’s unwilling to let her go despite her telling him to stop. he’s suffocating her, he’s cruel in his cheating and exploitative. and that’s all through her quiet reflections of him, that she thinks shows love. it shows how quietly and quickly abusive relationships form and stay. i genuinely didn’t think id be writing this much about a mature manhwa that has as many sex scenes as this but wow im kinda floored at the storyline
him being sweet to the ghost says a lot about him.i feel like we’ve all become a stan of him. he’s hard to dislike he’s just doing his best and he’s not cruel to anyone.
i’m actually pleasantly surprised our ml is proving how clever he is. hell many character are proving their very clever or skilled at what they do. this like the third character (and more) that’s shown they are listening not just reacting to what is happening. we basically got shown despite her reaction to our fl her mother in law isn’t necessarily against her she’s just indifferent/observing her until she gets more information about her. even the head maid not believing, the servants lies was a nice surprise. and then we have our ml constantly actively listening and developing his opinions based on the more information he gets on a situation.
i’m actually disgusted. i’m not saying there can’t be layers to a romance. second chance, miscommunication or misunderstandings whatever. but this pathetic. this man disrespects her to the point HE STILL HASNT WXPLAINED WHY HE COULD ABONDON HER FOR 10 YEARS WITH NO LETTER NO NOTE NO PHONE CALL. i want my female leads to grow, to develop, outside of their person. to see this honestly hurts my heart. it feels like the author completely not knowing what to do with their plot. this a literal rehashing of the first season, but the miscommunication is actually worse now and less excusable. i’m actually not a shipper of either of the men i know which i would prefer personally. this about her, our female lead, and what she deserves as a character. and at this point she doesn’t deserve one of the men at all, and if she’s choosing the other. well. she’s not as mature as a i thought she was or learned the self respect i thought she had.

i think despite the fact that i wouldn’t like my partner removing their tattoos to fit in with society. i understand korean society has a lot of stigma against them. and from what we’ve learned the ml reasoning for getting the tattoos were more an act of defiance then actual want of the tattoos. which is why he’s willing to lose them, for our girl and to better his career. in a way he’s closing the chapter on his younger self need to defy his father’s expectations and fighting norms of fitting in. he’s maturing and realized he doesn’t need the tattoo to fight that. he can just do that by doing what he wants, and be who he wants. so he doesn’t need the physical (the tattoo) to do that anymore.
okayyyy interesting. usually the twist is physical cheating this seems to be heavy emotional cheating and lacking in boundaries. i wouldn’t usually like these types of toxic get back games of playing your partner (very supportive of the drop em and move on is the better lick back). however this one feels highly appropriate cause there something incredibly disturbing about the way he said “she’s good girl”. and how he’s just waiting for them to be 30 like EW
