I wish there was more acknowledgment or maybe accountability from both the men in the household for the abusive nature of the mother in law. Or maybe that’s coming, but allowing a person that openly hostile toward your wife/relationship isn’t helpful. I’m not saying he’s not at fault. I love that Leo constantly acts like an heir despite being a girl. Usually in these stories the girls only way to power is marriage yet it’s so clear everyone is like THIS is the dukes heir. And no matter what she is his heir. It’s like the total opposite of house of the dragon

It’s clear he has no romantic interest in any of the women so far. The dark haired girl is the closest to that and lowkey she’s earned it, so how is this a harem? One of girls he speaks of fondly because he’s happy she grew up well he doesn’t lust after her at all. The sister of redhead is interested in him yet he didn’t encourage her nor doesn’t imply he likes her. Trust i usually can spot a harem pretty quickly this clearly isn’t a harem yet or will be. If anything it looks to be a gradual romance between him and the brunette girl…soooo what’s with the accusations????
This next arc is gonna be phenomenal, cause she’s now pushing him away. She said you wanna be friends now you don’t get a say in what I do. Let’s go. He’s about to realize what being friends means and how they were clearly never friends.
He’s still young both of them are. We’ve also seen his mother and brothers but not his dad. I do wonder if watching his dad go through whatever was implied this chapter and the strength is mother had perhaps scared him. I’m not saying it’s not foolish, given he was up in her guts (TN & PN were wildin these chapters lol) I just think it might give context to why he’s scared.
