Honestly, I don't think Byul was wrong.
What he said may sound harsh, but it's true: abandonment is abandonment, regardless of whether it was due to fear, immaturity, or personal problems. Each person experiences that pain differently, and what Hyesung did also affected Byul.
Furthermore, I think it's unfair for Hyesung to blame him for talking to his grandmother. Just because she was a bad mother to him doesn't mean she has to be a bad grandmother to Byul. Children are not obliged to inherit their parents' traumas or grudges, nor to cut ties just because their parents decided to do so.
Byul simply held up a mirror to Hyesung: he can't ask him to reject someone “because of what they did” when he himself committed abandonment. It wasn't cruelty, it was honesty.
And the fact that he later regretted it shows that he said it out of pain, not out of malice.
In summary:
Abandonment is abandonment, and trauma is not inherited. AND I'm not saying Hyesung should forgive his mom, he cand do what it feels right, but he can't say "you can't either" that's not how life works (also both Dojin and Byul kept that hidden for valid reason 1. They knew Hyesung would be against it, because of hurt or trauma, so they didn't told him 2. They have their own criteria and judgment. They didn't brought her home like -"Hey here's grandma everything's good and forgotten" no, they kept it under wraps.
(Also that kiss of restraint... my goodness, simply beautiful, pure and cute, i love them so much(╥﹏╥)♡)
Forcing it? I don’t think that’s what this is about. Like, if we think deeply, it can be appreciated that yes, he was there for him so much that it became natural, and yes, he was fixated on “reuniting with his first love.” But I do think that somewhere along the way he fell in love with his best friend. Of course, he wouldn’t notice it, because the way his feelings were unfolding didn’t give him the chance to stop and reflect. It was more like: “I need to find Mon ours so we can be together, love each other, blah blah blah.”
But the moment he understood it was all an illusion from his younger self, his real feelings started to emerge (a bit late, I must say, but that’s how life is sometimes). I’m not really into the idea of their relationship being like “I’ve always been in love with you but didn’t notice.” I think it’s more like: “I truly didn’t know I could feel this way for you, because I didn’t need to think about it. You were there, always, and it was so normal, so natural, so right, that I didn’t realize I was chasing something I already had.”
To be more clear, for those wondering what I want to get at, what I meant is that from my point of view their relationship can be portrayed like this:
"Love didn’t strike like thunder, it settled like breath—quiet, constant, and impossible to live without." ♡
Why do y'all still paint Cain as if he's some saint??? Did y'all really forget that he's completely lying to Jooin...being respectful?Tf? He's staying in Jooin's house because of his lie. Dont forget that.
i get it that's why i was with yawhi first but he just got worst and i understand that cain is lying but he has his reasons tbh i feel like yawhi's character development should have came a little earlier and i also understand why yawhi is like that i feel like they all just need time to figure out themselves but that's not gunna happen
i agree it must be rlly hard for cain knowing that he is lying to jooin and knowing how cain is he has shown us that he respects and cares for jooin but telling jooin that he was Cain's master and that Cain was his dog in the past is not something someone would take easily, so i understand why he is lying

I'm 100% sure they're going to pull some bs like: “Yeah, Sanada said ‘I wish we'd never met,’ but what he REALLY meant was ‘so I wouldn’t be a burden to you’ or ‘so you wouldn’t have to keep fighting when you don’t want to.’”
And if they actually go that route, imo that would be the dumbest and most stupid thing they could possibly do.
Because my boy is already doing his damn best. He fought even when he didn’t want to, purely because he felt guilty about hurting someone he had started to care about. And what does he get for that? Trash talk that completely breaks him.
The only reason he even starts healing is because Kithara shows up and gives him the kindness and love he needed in the first place.
So seriously… what the hell are they trying to pull here???
Sanada’s feelings aren’t invalid, sure. But you don’t get to dump those feelings on someone who already healed from the damage you caused. You don’t get to show up stirring shit just because things didn’t go your way after you fd up.
And you definitely don’t get to come back pretending to be friends and acting like the “innocent guy” when your intentions are clearly something else.
And that's that, thanks for coming to my tedxtalk
