In all my years reading manga, manhwa, webcomics, whatever… I’ve never immediately reread something I just finished. This is the first one. I just went through the whole thing twice and omfg if this isn’t it, I don’t know what is.
And listen, I always bounce the second I see an “old virgin with unrequited love” plot. Always. I was fully prepared to drop it after a couple chapters… which is probably why it completely wrecked me. Expectations were in the dirt and it still slapped lmao.
Guys. Ita 100% picked that movie on purpose. I swear on my dog’s life he chose one with an explicit scene just so he could force the gay sex conversation.
Also… am I being paranoid from reading too many obsessive MLs, or did he actually dig up which school Woojin goes to after their first meeting just so he could transfer there? The guy comes from serious money, why the hell would he transfer mid high school, especially right after meeting Woojin? It makes zero sense otherwise.
Is it just me or does this feel like it has way more potential to be some unhinged obsession story than just plain unrequited love?
I don’t want to get ahead of myself, but the way Ita’s eyes lit up every time he found out something new about Woojin… I genuinely think he’s been obsessed the whole time. And when Woojin said he was gay, Ita quietly realized he wished he was his type.
Ugh I hate that I’m already building all these expectations but please tell me I’m not alone lol
And btw, his mom is fucking awesome. I’m still not sure if she was being serious about dating women or if she just said that to slap her son in the face and make him realize what a complete bastard he was being to his brother. I’ve met people who went through similar shit (not exactly a brother, but close enough) and it messed them up bad. It’s honestly sad watching Woojin just take all those verbal hits without snapping back… and still going out to meet the girls after.
Also, side note: the smut in this story is so good. The leads are exactly what I love seeing in bl.
What a story. It was a great read, but it felt pretty heavy at times. Seonwoo is the kind of character whose life just felt like it was dragging itself along instead of actually being lived. We only really get to see a healthier, happier version of him toward the end. For most of the story he’s just gloomy, burned out, and depressed.
Yuri’s a totally different type of character, but his life also felt like he was just going through the motions rather than really living it.
I had no idea how the author was going to make these two work together, but somehow they did, and it felt surprisingly natural.
I struggled to connect with Seonwoo at the beginning and found myself getting tired just reading about how he was living. Then it hit me that the author did that on purpose, and honestly, it worked. Seonwoo said it himself, he was living on the edge of a cliff, and you can feel it the whole time you’re following the story.
He’s not suicidal, but he clearly has zero regard for how he treats himself. It was honestly kind of suffocating watching him just keep sinking deeper into that emotional mess without doing anything to pull himself out.
And then there’s Yuri, who knows exactly how to play the bastard and the douchebag whenever it benefits him. Thankfully Seonwoo had him around… and thankfully Yuri found Seonwoo too.
Like the title says, and like Yuri was fully aware of, their love starts from sympathy. They just couldn’t leave each other alone because of it.
The side characters were solid too, they had their own strengths and flaws and didn’t feel like afterthoughts.
Overall it was a really enjoyable read. I would’ve loved some extras set in the future with an older Yuri though.
And in the afterword the author said Yuri would deliberately crash Seonwoo’s bright green car in three years… which honestly just proves how hard he tried to put up with that car lmao.
I had this on hold for a while and just finished it. I adore this kind of story, I feel so at peace when I reach the end, haha.
But seriously, I’d love two or three more extras about their wedding, honeymoon, and married life. That would wrap everything up so beautifully.
Overall, the way they meet and fall for each other is entertaining and adorable, their love is super cute and endearing, and the relationship feels genuinely sincere and wholesome.
This is peak comfort reading if you want a break from toxicity. Totally worth your time.
I decided to binge this now and omg, I blinked and it was already over.
I loved our leads, but the constant misunderstandings drove me crazy. I kept yelling “JUST TALK” in my head the whole time.
Thankfully I picked a good moment to catch up so I didn’t have to sit through any more of that running-away nonsense that frustrates anyone.
Now I’m really curious about Daram. Why did he scream that it was ML’s child? Was it some kind of psychotic breakdown? It’s messed up, but it feels like he’d already decided to carry ML’s kid even though he had a lover. He’s kind of pitiful in a way, he had to deal with ML and his obsession for years.
ML never really saw him as someone to love and protect. He treated him more like a possession he wanted to keep by his side. That becomes super clear in the last chapter when he looks at MC and thinks “my person" as the answer to everything he was feeling.
Even though ML is shown as an obsessive with some serious anger issues, he still treated MC well and actually respected everything MC told him. When you look at how things turned out, he’s basically a green flag. Like, MC even thinks of him a someone pure/innocent lol
Hopefully we get to see their baby in the next chapters.
I had no idea I would like this story so much, now I wish there was 100 more chapters of this. I wish there was a whole plot of them going into the capital together, living together and even going to war together. Ugh, such unused potential.
I feel like I found a new niche to get into but I'm scared where this could lead me to hahahhah
But seriously, I laughed so much at the brother saying I'm happy such a beautiful horse is joining the family! Lol should I praise him for his open mind or should I feel he is a freak.
That is, this is the type of story to find both weird and cute but mainly because of our MC. He is a gullible cutie pie.
The ML was low key manipulative, in fact it was quite a glazed toxic relationship, but he was definitely thirsting for the MC from the very first moment MC turned human.
Overall a nice and quick read. Totally worth it.
This is so good! I'm loving following this story. I'm finding hilarious the misunderstanding of the dead brother and that it is his brother calling for the music to be played on the radio lol
And the sunbae situation, man, even if things get resolved I feel that too much happened and so much time passed that you can't possibly be together without feeling the weight of it all. Unfortunately the time to clear the misunderstandings is gone, and from what the story has shown, the sunbae started dating that girl and others after what happened, which made our mc misunderstand even further and behave in a way that made the sunbae also misunderstand (like everything's over and we'll act like friends), omg, what a mess. If the novel was only about them it would be an angsty one.
But thank god we have our puppy ml. A somewhat obssessive puppy but nothing over the top till now hahah
And when they sleep together first, our mc says he hopes he didn't give ml any bad memories or traumas for throwing him out (and the other time his conscience weighs on him after seeing the phone screen about leaving your partner after sex), and now we see how traumatic his experience with sunbae must have been for him. Gosh, my heart.
And considering ml is younger and a puppy, I think he can't bring himself to refuse anything ml does or says and now he is slowly catching feelings without even realizing. And needless to say how ml feels about mc hahaha
"Was she a woman of so much value" THE NERVE OF THIS LITTLE INSECURE BASTARD. Omfg, he is so unlikeable because I can picture real people acting just like him, so it's worse than your average fictional hateful character.
The story seems to hint a future regret and I can't wait to see him regret his choices and live the worst life possible while our fl is living her best life happy with the ml.
I really hope this is not the start of some misunderstanding but the opportunity to everyone know they broke up due to the cheating trashy couple.

"The most luxurious item we could afford was a bottle of champagne that cost only a hundred euros"
I want this type of poverty
And let's not forget the apartment in paris with view directly towards the eiffel tower
That's crazy lmao
