Idc, I like this story. The fact that the Emperor never loved Aisha and didn't even sleep with her was a twist, because the FL didn't know that when she started and was trying to respect their relationship and leave. Everyone's mad at her for not divorcing him or worried about her changing her mind when the story was completely different from what she thought it was. That changes things, potentially. He's a red flag ML for sure but indifference isn't the same as actively harming someone either. I love that she doesn't forgive his neglect though, and that it's making him ACTUALLY reflect on his behavior as he struggles with his first feelings of attraction and affection. Give him a tough fucking time for sure, but I'm not even mad with the way this is going. Especially since now he is on her side against Aisha. (Also lmfao at someone feeling bad for bitch Aisha, she's as bad a Trashta from Empress Remarries)
I'm feeling bad for Aisha (the antagonist) cus she has the same potential as the FL, but somehow the author makes Aisha so dumb and stupid. That's why the plot seems boring, it's like the plot consist of FL and Aisha little cat fight, and we always know that the FL going to win. The author could've made Aisha a little more threatening, just so we can feel the tension between the FL and ML. Don't get me wrong. I hate Aisha as a person, but I can't help it but to pity how she is the most predictable antagonist ever #-.-)
Yeah the original leads often fall into predictable behavior patterns honestly. Like the Empress is going around talking about divorce and Aisha somehow doesn't know or catch on? They should have been on the same side, FL wasn't trying to fight for the Emperor or over him. A frank conversation could have fixed that. Victims of pushing a singular plot. I'd feel bad for Aisha is she wasn't so dumb as to think the Emperor believed she was innocent and pure. In the end of the author made her that way I guess she just is, idk lol
Damn this one had a bit of everything. Mostly I love how damn STRONG and ENDURING that Daniel is! The mystery plot for his job WHILE the suspense of his own story taking place was a really good mix! He's an intelligent and capable person who grew from trauma and made more close of bonds than he ever realized. Good from start to finish!
Sodam please drop both these creepy losers. Neither one deserves you ( ̄へ ̄)Hajoon is a selfish, stupid dick and I don't care if he loves Sodam, he doesn't deserve him until he wakes the fuck up and treats him like he deserves, not his dumbass "oh I hate him, I'm just playing with him" mentality. And don't get me started on Liam who I think was just stirring shit up and doesn't even know Sodam well enough.
Now that comments are back I have to say: what the fuck is this story? I originally liked it, toxic or not, but now they've made the duke/king? Out to be not only twice as evil seeming as he was before but they tossed in mental illness... For what? To make him look sympathetic? The haitus didn't kill this story, the weird side story did that on its own.
The illness must've been from their family making sure they keep their pure blood you know ,the incest
And they are related to the past king as well they were his uncle right?
And seme and his twin already had it planned from the start although it was never mentioned ,their whole plan ( I think there are too many plot holes the details were all skipped) uke just got involved because the seme became obsessed with him
To be fair, the entire series has been from Ilic's point of view and he never understood the duke's motivations or feelings. When you think about it, a lot of stuff in the main series didn't make sense without the context of the extras. The duke revealed a lot of sensitive information to Ilic, such as stuff about his sister, nephew, and the politics of their family.
Even when Ilic literally punched him in the face, the duke still forgave him. We also don't see the duke interested in other lovers and the duke puts a lot of effort into keeping Ilic by his side. we can infer from this that the duke was actually serious about their relationship even before he realized that he loved Ilic.

Oh look, more lazy trash plot. She didn't need a fucking hero, disgusting. This belittles her whole story, her pain, her vengeance. What about the princess they saved and the person who helped her change bodies, and Nathan, literally the whole plot is trashed so Prince can fuck her. (╬ ̄皿 ̄)凸
I'm learning from this that I can't do smutt without plot what's happened to me lol
Well technically the whole plot wasn't really trashed since this is just an alternative ending that can be skipped and should be read as such for those rooting for Van instead. It ended with Blaine marrying her.
Eh, I know it's skippable. Doesn't mean it's good. Literally in terms of story, and I know its JUST an alt end, but it is just about him getting her through sex and throwing his weight around. It's unsatisfying for me, and I have every right to mention that ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ I loved her character and her ruthless methods. She wasn't the type to allow ANYONE to do something that big for her, especially not knowing her and her reasons. Vengeance would feel kind of empty I think.
I mean yeah I didn't say u don't have the right to mention that and I myself like Blaine more. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ since it seems a bit one sided from Van. It took her much more time to kinda get together with Blaine and figure each other out. While this just feel a bit. Rushed. But then again. At least it's alternative and not the final ending ( ̄∇ ̄")
