yes, it was by bai lu and wang hedi. as much as i love lulu's dramas i could not past epi 4-5, in my humble opinion the cast was very bad. ┗( T﹏T )┛
i agree not hating at all but imo both actors weren’t a great fit for the roles. currently watching the early spring and immediately thought jing boran & sun qian would tho!! especially shi yan. they’d both embody the character well. + it’s just a bonus that they look similar to the characters too.
I didn't hate the cast as much as I didn't like how the plot was handled...there was potential with that cast too. But the whole drama seemed more focused on trying to make it different from the novel then showing an already stabilised story. Also a non existent 3rd couple who became the 2nd couple who became more of a focus throughout. And yes i watched halfway only too.
at some point, i started wishing viese and the other kids would change and redeem themselves even after all the stupid & hurtful things they’ve done to tia. unfortunately did not happen & now i’m just pissed off.
