I’m not convinced even the author knows where the story is going anymore. They’ve introduced a good amount of characters by now that seem to have their own uses as plot devices (chairman, half brother, other heiress, Ari, etc.) but they shuffle so incoherently between them, lose momentum with the drama and storytelling, and give us flashback after flashback that are just not impactful. The beginning had me hooked but now it’s such a bore. I wished the author mapped out the story better and actually had a clear vision of the story they wanted to deliver. It just seems they have a bunch of ideas they jotted down threw into a bag, shook it up, and just write whichever comes out.
