So if I remember correctly, the thing they are talking about I think it’s the salt that they’ve been selling in the church, something like that, either it’s that or if you remember the other regas that almost got mc killed started getting addicted to some beef jerky they gave him, and going kinda insane from withdrawal symptoms, so the council (duke, marquess, etc) have been eating that salt for the past few gatherings with Karas, which is why the marquess is acting all crazy and killing his subordinates, that salt has kinda the same effects as the black poison but obv they aren’t the same thing
