The ML is so wretched and pained, he is so well written that I can't totally hate him but watching his face crack is SO SATISFYING. Like the two times Annette tried to off herself and the faces he made was just *chefs kiss*

Annette is wonderful, the ignorant young lady of a tyrant, served in the war to find purpose for herselffor her to be a war hero in the process.

I didn't expect anything when I started reading this but damn, I'm so glad I did. What an absolute beauty to read and thank you to the author and everyone involved that made this masterpiece. 10/10
