This is the best way to end the season of a story about potential time travel by mirroring the scene of when MC and ML first met but changing the dialogue and because MC is an unreliable narrator, we do not know if he truly said `please help me` in chapter 1 and `please kill me` in the last chapter or if he said `please kill me` in both and the timeline is truly looping back

So far, I don't even dislike the friend who was supposed to be with ML in original story. MC told him he has nothing to do with ML then he saw them on a date and all of this after he clearly told MC that he and ML are about to et married. He is not the evil one in this story whatsoever...at least not at this point of the story. From his perspective, his friend and the guy he likes are together after his friend clearly lied to him
