everyone angry at the knight is mental. Even if he is lying by telling her she was kicked out, for all he knows, she was raped the night before and he is giving her a way out with actual money. He is putting his life on the line knowing what a cruel worthless dickhead the duke is. The fuck are you people acting like he is ruining some cute healthy romance and intervening for nothing???? So far, he is the only man around her who knows her background and still treats her like a human being.
Also, have you seen any scene with the duke? Not only did he abuse her for so long, up to recent chapters, he took her away from her fiancé to the town and acted like he is confessing and then told her to her face that he is just following what SHE wants. Also, he just forced himself on her. Just because she gave in half-way through and stopped resisting, it does not mean it wasn't rape.
So y'all are just cursing the knight and are in favour of this piece of shit?
The jump to them living together didn't fell natural at all. I don't know what it felt like in the novel but here it feels like the author was like "let me use any excuse to force them closer". It could have been better, they already have an acquaintance in common so that could've made them gradually closer instead of this jump
it's only slightly better in the novel bc we at least see it played out instead of a rushed flashback, but it's still too fast tbh, specially considering that the MC >has< money to both get the boiler fixed and get an hotel room that accepts cats (ik he doesn't want to touch the money, but this would be to make the car safe so
I read the novel and Xinlu never grew on me until the very end. While it is understandable that he is rotten inside because of how spoiled he was by his parents (he particularly feels like such an asshole mommy's boy which makes sense since she was was depressed and only had him to pour her attention to), it does not make him any less of an asshole.
The guy is a tyrant but the town people would all die miserable deaths the day he is gone. You can't preach freedom when you're physically and mentally weak in a postapocalyptic world where you need your wits and strength. Maybe you'd survive if everyone truly works together and the weakness of the individual becomes the strength of the group but give me a break, these people were cheering at a fellow townsperson's murder a few days ago.
I kinda dislike Gawon but he is the only thing keeping these people alive and a part of me wants him to go away for a bit so they know they ain't shit

This is the third story I read in this universe and this is the shittiest alpha of all. I'm just reading to see how long he'll suffer for. And before you tell me "he wasn't raised right. He comes from a garbage family"....Sure but so does Chase, and he is a decent human being (EDIT: as a commenter stated below, Chase did awful, harmful things that I forgot about at the moment of writing this comment so, I take this back but I'm leaving it here for context).
Also, at some point in life your shitty actions become your own and you can no longer blame them on your parents.
Speaking of his parents, I wonder what's going on there. The alpha father must've been a very abusive piece of shit and it makes me pity the omega father because he seems very sweet so, he must've endured a lot too
this is what ive thought to until i read a spoiler ish type of comment weeks ago, something like this ml has a good(?) reason for being the way he is. something something bout how he actually cares but cares in an unconventional way/dont know why its wrong etc
Just so u know Grayson is the best Miller and Alpha - Literally He does things that no Alpha ever can do, he is the best character growth and has the best story. Just so u know u won't find anything that makes Grayson suffer lol here both characters suffer equally.
Grayson has no redemption arc if ur gonna expect it bcse he is already a perfect character.
Chase is not a decent human being lmao, he is what I call a character with no character development - he shoots people for no reason, Abuses and beats down people and used to abuse his all previous bodyguards, throwing a man from an helicopter? Wow thats a decent person lol
Grayson is way better he never abused people, he is always self defence and is always transparent about his intentions.
Ashley is not abuse piece of shit (he is trash in parenting yes) but he has his own Novel and it's one of the sweetest novel present in this universe, he is a great husband but a bad father.
Lol Grayson is the Best Alpha and has the best story in this whole universe lol. Kiss me if you can is the smallest story in this universe and only acts as an intro.
Also The Whole universe main character is Grayson lol literally confirmed by the author, he was the first character she created even though she released his story the last but she made him first that's y he is in every single story in this universe
A decent human being who bit another human being tongue, a decent human being who shot another 100+ human being, a decent humam being who threw another human being frm heli, a decent human being who traumatized other human being bodyguards that no one wanted to take the job, a decent human being who injured alot of civilian human being even im side stories.... Yeah at some point in life your shitty actions become your own and you can no longer blame them on your parents or brother..so true
I forgot some details from Chase's past and now that I recall them, yes, I would agree that Chase is no saint at all. His past actions make him very horrible. With one chapter a week and reading multiple stories at once, I tend to forget some past events.
I'm still standing firm on Grayson being the worst alpha in all the 3 stories I've seen from this universe. Just making his brother think he had sex with a dog is enough for me to come to that conclusion, let alone everything else he did and continues to do. I'm not assuming your position on this topic since you just commented on Chase and did not try to redeem Grayson.
Ofcourse, Grayson is an asshole and im not excusing that at all, but you also have to understand that he is a psychopath, and he doesnt realize what he is dojgn is wrong. He legitimately thinks he is helping chase and those around him.
I want deny that Grayson is an asshole and has done horrible things, ofcourse he has, but you also cant jsut pin the whole thing on him. Abusive Trauma is a real thing that affects people, including Grayson, ofcourse it is his fault, but you cant blame it all on him.
You say not to say " he wasnt rajsed right" but its true, he grew up with an abusive piece of shit father who taught him that wrong is right and right is wrong. So while its not an excuse for his actions it is a liable reason for why he acts the way he does.
Again, its not 100% Grayson's fault for the way he turned out. He probably saw the way his father was treating his siblings and his omega father and thought "so this is how you help" or something twisted.
As I said before, Grayson is on the ASPD spectrum, so he doesnt have that moral compass that tells him "pushing my brother in front of a bus is wrong" he just sees that harmful things are supposed to 'help' and assumes it is true. He follows his father's teachings.
Again, I do understand that Grayson has been an ass and he definitely deserves to suffer for it, he has had a set of victims of his own and they deserve to see him get the karma he deserves and im not denying that.
Sorry for the long ass comment lol.
"I'm still standing firm on Grayson being the worst alpha in all the 3 stories I've seen from this universe."
Is this conclusion after you finished the desire me if u can novel? Because if it was based on the other two manhwas (one being from another series and not If You can series, and the other a lackluster with incomplete info aka kmiyc), then it's a biased conclusion.
I did come to that conclusion after seeing him in the other stories so I do not have any knowledge of future events. The dog thing is just too much for me. But I think I will read this novel soon. I do hope he turns out to have redeemable qualities
I think it's better to gain more info first. After you finished desire, then you can give a fair judgement. You can decide then. Whether you label him as the shittiest or not, at least you can say that you know all the details. That you have complete knowledge of the character and of the events. In my opinion, it would be better that a character has haters while understanding who he really is than hating without knowing everything.
Its not necessary to read the novel. It just gives more detailed scenes and convo, so it's up to you. Just don't pass on this manhwa.. it's a foundation story of the If You Can series, based on how zig told us that Desire is her first omegaverse story.
