Love Hestia, but I feel like it wasn't right of her to interrupt this time. Whether Kael wants to accept Helios'apology or not, that's up to him. It's obvious their friendship won't ever be the same, but sometimes an apology is worth hearing, if it helps the healing process. Sometimes I'm afraid she is trying to hate them in Kael's stead, not realizing that this hatred is hers alone
She doesn't realize that this hatred belongs to her. According to her, this is a novel and, as in every novel, she lives by thinking that bad people should be punished. On the other hand, for Kaelus, this is real and he wants to spend his time with his beloved wife rather than thinking about others. It's really well done in this novel.
People like Shizuma piss the hell out of me. No backbone, not being able to set boundaries, dismissive of his partner insecurities and jealousy. Then he has the guts of being afraid his current relationship will end like the past one, despite showing no effort to change. Look at me in the eyes and say it would be okay for your partner to have a whole date-afternoon with the person you have warned him you feel insecure about.
NOT TO MENTION, this isn't even the first time someone pursued him and every time Shizuma showed no will to push them away to make his partner feel secure.
Hell na, I had bf like this, throw him in the bin. This behaviour does nothing but devour your self confidence and trust.
Yep, I absolutely agree too. It is one thing that he is very friendly and open with everybody, but this doesn't mean you don't have boundaries. Every normal person would step back and have a distance with anybody who touched their underwear. But Shizuma? He went with the same person shopping and even touched the hair of her(him). I wish someone would hit on Minato in front of his eyes for him to finally understand what an oblivious idiot he is because honestly speaking, it still doesn't look like he understands what's the problem with his behaviour.
It's interesting yet painfully realistic how Diana, a person of god, a firm believer, is always projecting evilness onto Hestia, yet in unable to see the one within herself. Praying for disgrace upon others and accusing Hestia of being Kael's ruin is truly the lowest she could have reached.
So trueeeee but I can't help but honestly love her as a well written character/villain, because all that hatred pretty much stems from the fact that Hestia an atheist (technically) is thriving with her "god given" abilities of foresight despite not going through the temple, while hers are diminishing.
She's arrogant and delulu enough to believe she's the only one blessed by god and her desperation to get back her powers, keep her pure saintess image who is loved by all
causes her to cling unto religion and her self righteous beliefs are just sooo compelling and amazing character design.
